Irene was so mad that she didn’t want to make bread anymore.

“What’s so great about bread anyway? Mike, do you like ravioli? I will make you some,” she said.

Michael was starving. He sniffled and nodded obediently. “I like ravioli too,” he said.

“You’re such a good boy,” Irene said, pinching Michael’s cheek. “What filling do you like in your ravioli, Mike?”

“Beef,” Michael said.

“Okay, that’s great,” Irene said with a smile. “Your dad likes beef filling too, so let’s skip the bread. I will make some ravioli just for you, Mike.

Then she went to cook for Mike.

While Irene was kneading the dough and making ravioli, Michael glanced over and spotted a phone sitting on the bookshelf.

He climbed up on a stool, grabbed the phone, and dashed into the bathroom. He was in such a hurry. He had to call Teresa.

But there was a password on the phone, and he had no idea what it was.

Michael started to panic. He sniffled, thought hard for a second, and then decided to dial the emergency number 911.

“Hello, police officer. Please save me. I think I’ve been kidnapped,” Michael cried on the phone.

“Sweetie, don’t cry. Where are you right now?” the officer asked gently.

“I’m at my Grandma’s house,” Michael cried.

“Huh?” The officer sounded confused. “Did the bad guys kidnap both you and your Grandma?”

“No, it was my Grandma who kidnapped me. She brought me to her house without telling my mom first,” Michael wailed.

Michael was so heartbroken that he couldn’t stop crying, and the officer let out a helpless laugh. When Michael heard the officer laugh, he felt

even more upset.

“Officer, I’m telling the truth. She won’t let me go. She’s cooking now. Please call my mom. I miss her so much. Her number is…” Michael said softly, his childish voice trailing off.

After he finished reciting the numbers, the officer said, “Alright, we understand. We’ll let your mom know.”

“Thank you, officer. Please, you have to tell my mom to come get me as soon as possible,” Michael pleaded.

Meanwhile, Teresa had just arrived at the Lynn residence in a taxi.

She was about to get out of the car when she spotted Hayden and Werner taking a walk by the entrance.

Teresa thought, ‘Irene must not be here. If she were, Hayden wouldn’t be out here, chatting and admiring the flowers with Werner

“Driver, could you please turn around? I need to go somewhere else,” Teresa said.

“Sure, where to?” the driver asked.
