Chapter 214
“Honestly, love just feels so empty to me now,” Maisie said. “Anyway, I don’t believe in love anymore.”
Daniel thought, ‘Looks like the road to win her back just got even tougher.
“Daniel, tomorrow let’s take Amelia to the Everlasting Restaurant for a look around, and then just give it to her,” Maisle said she was always one to act
on her words.
Daniel looked like he wanted to say something, but in the end, he just nodded in agreement.
‘When Landon comes back, I’ll make him give back two Everlasting Restaurants, Daniel thought angrily.
‘He loses his memory and ignores his wife, and now he expects her family to cover the cost of a restaurant? That’s just ridiculous!” he fumed
What happened on the mall’s big screen soon reached Aiden.
He was lounging on the hotel sofa, frowning as he watched the footage from the mall, and asked his butler, “Who put that up on the screen?”
“Of course, it was Monica,” the butler replied.
“She’s really something. Steals someone else’s husband and still has the nerve to stir up drama,” Aiden said. “What was Amelia’s reaction?”
The butler pulled up a high–definition video clip.
Aiden heard Amelia’s voice: “Landon, I don’t want you anymore. Go marry whoever you want! I don’t need you”
“Then Ms. Edwards went back to the Zuckerberg family,” the butler sighed. “Honestly, I think she was so upset she was out of it. She must have been crying when she got back.”
“Tell the Montgomery family to leave her alone,” Aiden said.
The butler was stunned. “Mr. Kyle, even now, you’re still looking out for her?”
Aiden shot him a cold look, and the butler quickly shut up.
Love came crashing in out of nowhere, leaving him completely défenseless.
Even though she had lied to him and even poisoned him, he still just couldn’t hurt her.
Now that Landon had lost his memory and was about to marry Monica, Aiden figured this was his chance to make his move.
A woman always let her guard down when she was at her most vulnerable.
The more Aiden thought about it, the more excited he became. He picked up his phone and dialed Amelia’s number.
[Sorry, the number you have dialed is busy.]
After several tries with the same result, he realized she had blocked him again.
Amelia, you little minx… always playing hard to get,’ Aiden grumbled, grabbing the hotel landline to try calling her once more.
This time, it connected right away.
“Hello? Who is this?” Amelia said.

Chapter 214
That familiar, lazily sweet voice made Alden’s heart flutter.
“Amelia, it’s me…” said Aiden.
“Mr. Kyle, what do you want?” Amelia’s tone instantly turned icy.
Aiden felt a pang of sadness. “I heard about Landon. Don’t be too upset. You still have me.”
“How could I not be upset?” Amelia scoffed. “Aiden, don’t think I don’t know this was all your doing. You wanted him to leave me, didn’t you?
“It really wasn’t me,” Aiden said, sounding genuinely hurt.
“Wasn’t Landon in your hands from the very beginning?” Amelia pressed.
Aiden frowned, realizing this must have come from Aaron.
‘Monica should never have listened to Landon and let Aaron live. She’s the one who did it, but now I’m the one taking the blame! he fumed,
“Aiden, you big jerk! I hate you!” Amelia shouted, slamming down the phone and blocking the landline number too.
She had to keep up the act–making sure Aiden saw just how fired up and clear–cut her feelings were, love and hate all out in the open.
But honestly, cursing him out felt amazing. ‘Every time I see him from now on, I’m going to let him have it,’ Amelia thought.
The next day, Amelia slept in and was taken by Daniel and Maisie to the Everlasting Restaurant, one of the most prestigious spots in Lunova.
“This place is incredible. Norava doesn’t have anything this fancy,” Amelia couldn’t help but marvel.
“From now on, it’s yours,” Daniel said.
Amelia was stunned. “What?”
“This restaurant was originally part of Maisie’s engagement gifts, and she wants to give it to you,” Daniel explained.
“Maisie?” Amelia turned to Maisie, her face full of disbelief.
Maisie gave a confident, almost regal smile. “When you’ve got enough money, men are just an afterthought.”
The guys standing around were speechless.
“Maisie, I’ve got money,” Amelia said, half–amused, half–exasperated. “As long as Landon and I aren’t officially divorced, everything the Kingsley Group owns is still mine and my child’s.”
“You still need the Kingsley family’s money? Don’t sell yourself short,” Maisie scoffed. “The Zuckerberg family can totally support you and your kid.”
Amelia knew just how powerful the Zuckerberg family was–there was no doubt about that.
But she wasn’t one of them. Enjoying their food and company was one thing, but actually taking over their restaurant didn’t feel right for Amelia.
She grinned and said, “Why shouldn’t I take it? Landon’s the one who cheated–he totally deserves to lose everything.“.
“That actually makes sense…” Maisie blinked. “But do you really think Gloria will give you any of the fam scheming to take over the Kingsley Group.”
“Patrick can’t take the Kingsley Group. As for Gloria….
ets? And I heard Patrick is back, always
Amelia thought for a moment, then said, “Honestly, even if Landon marries a bunch of women and has a whole bunch of kids, I don’t think she’d ever cuts

me out of the inheritance.”
“Exactly! So before the divorce is finalized, you should keep a tight grip on everything from the Kingsley Group. Let him go broke and see how he likes living out in the cold.” Maisie suddenly got all fired up. “No money, let’s see how he manages to cheat then.”
Daniel’s lips twitched. “No need to even mention the Kingsley family. The Zuckerberg family has more money than we could ever spend.”
“Come on, Daniel, you just don’t get it,” Maisie said, her eyes shining. “Why should a woman have cheated? She should take him for every cent he’s got and make him pay for it.”
