Gloria fell silent, her face full of discomfort and worry.

Kayla had already agreed to take care of Monica, so Elaine could marry Landon without any trouble.

“Fine,” Kayla replied without hesitation.

Kayla agreed without a moment’s pause.

Gloria and Amelia exchanged a glance, both secretly relieved.

“I need to pee…” Amelia suddenly said.

“Oh, right,” Gloria said. “She’s pregnant–of course she needs to pee all the time. How is she supposed to go to the bathroom with her hands tied? Untie her already!”

“Mom, don’t make me think you’re playing tricks,” Kayla warned coldly.

Gloria countered, “Then untie me and let me take care of her.”

“Absolutely not,” Kayla replied. “Amelia is always scheming.”

“This whole place is under your control. Even if she tried something, where could she possibly run to?” Gloria argued. “Besides, she’s pregnant–she can’t even outrun you if you were just walking.”

Amelia gave a bitter smile. “Sis, you really overestimate me. If you’re that worried, just kill me already.”

Of course, Kayla couldn’t kill her.

She still needed Amelia as a bargaining chip against Landon. With the two most important women in his life right here, even if Landon could move heaven and earth, he’d have no choice but to back down.

“Kayla, just do as Mrs. Kingsley says!” Elaine chimed in, eager to make a good impression.

Finally, Kayla agreed and untied Gloria’s hands.

Kayla’s brows knitted in annoyance. “Go back.”

Kayla’s whole aura turned icy and menacing, and Elaine’s smile vanished in an instant.

She awkwardly pouted. “Alright, I’ll just come back tomorrow then…”

“Don’t come back tomorrow either. Wait until I tell you,” Kayla said coolly.

Once Elaine was gone, Kayla picked up her phone, ready to call Landon.

Meanwhile, in Lunova, Landon and Tuff had just stepped out of the Flying Tiger Sect.

Both of them looked grim.

The big shots had said there was no way to come up with a treatment for Kayla in the short term.

But since Landon’s chip had only been implanted recently, there was still a chance to try something.

Of course, opportunity and danger always came as a package deal.
