Daniel rushed back to Lunova with the love spell and handed it over to the Flying Tiger Sect

The case involving the Mystic Sect was getting bigger and bigger, and even the people greeting him were of a much higher rank now.

It was an elderly man, nearly seventy, with a white beard and hair, whose features bore a striking resemblance to Morgan.

“Mr. Zuckerberg, I am Larry Mitchell, Morgan’s brother and Landon’s mentor,” the old man introduced himself.

“Mr. Mitchell, it’s an honor to meet you,” Daniel greeted respectfully.

Daniel bowed his head in respect.

He’d never really figured out what Landon’s official title was in the Flying Tiger Sect, but he knew for sure it was something important. And if this was Landon’s mentor, then his status had to be even higher.

“How are Landon and his wife doing?” Larry asked kindly.

“They’re holding up, but Montague is trouble. We really need to get them out of the Mystic Sect as soon as possible, before any more trouble arises, Daniel replied.

Larry nodded. “Don’t worry, Mr. Zuckerberg. Landon and his wife are making a big contribution–we’ll make sure to look after them.”

“I’ll leave it to you, then,” Daniel said politely.

‘Finally, I can breathe a little easier,‘ he thought, letting out a long sigh of relief.

Even if he couldn’t be there to help personally, with the Flying Tiger Sect working twice as hard, things would still be taken care of.

“Mr. Zuckerberg, have you ever thought about joining the Flying Tiger Sect?” Larry asked.

Daniel was caught off guard. He thought it over for quite a while before shaking his head. “Sorry, but there are just too many matters in the Zuckerberg family for me to handle. I really can’t take on anything else.”

“That’s a real pity…” Larry stroked his beard, looking genuinely disappointed.

The Flying Tiger Sect could really use a talented young man like Daniel right now. With such a shortage of capable people these days, they’ve been forced to keep pushing Landon and Tuff to their limits.

“Well, it’s fine. You’re Landon’s brother–in–law, after all. The Zuckerberg family and the Flying Tiger Sect are practically family. How about I give you a tour

of the Flying Tiger Sect?” Larry offered.

Daniel was both surprised and flattered. “C–can I?”

“Of course.”

That morning, Daniel was shocked again and again–just when he thought he couldn’t be more surprised, something else blew his mind.

From the moment he set foot in the Flying Tiger Sect, his jaw practically hit the floor and never came back up.

Even after he got home, he was still riding the high, totally fired up by how amazing the Flying Tiger Sect was.

‘So the Flying Tiger Seçt is actually a military organization? Damn, now I really want to join… he thought.

“Honey, weren’t you supposed to be on a business trip for a few days? Why are you back so soon?” Edith had just gotten up and was making breakfast.

“Everything’s pretty much wrapped up, so I came back to spend some time with you,” Daniel said, giving her a deting smile. He tried to bump chưa thể excitement and the urge to spill everything that was bubbling inside him.

He couldn’t join the Flying Tiger Sect.

He’d seen with his own eyes just how much Amy suffered because of Landon’s special line of work.

‘I can’t let Edith become another Amy,‘ he thought.

Besides, Edith was so gentle and pure–hearted. If he ever went through what Landon did, there’s no way Edith could handle it.

“You must have been working overtime,” Edith said, smiling as she slid a freshly made sandwich in front of him. “This is a love meal–it’ll help you feet better.”

“Thanks, Honey,” Daniel said, smiling back at her.

Daniel gazed at Edith with a gentle smile.

‘Edith looks even more beautiful now that she’s pregnant. I wonder if this time it’s a girl?‘ he thought.

‘Our daughter is definitely going to be gorgeous!‘ he thought.

‘This is wonderful–I’m finally going to have my own little princess. She’ll be even more precious than Landon’s little girl!‘ he thought.

“Honey, about the wedding…” Edith began.

“Don’t worry about it. Just focus on taking care of yourself and the baby,” Daniel said, cutting her off.

“Okay,” Edith replied softly.

Edith bit her lip, hesitating as if she wanted to say something but held herself back.

That move of hers was both pure and a little bit tempting, making Daniel feel a rush of heat below the belt. He swallowed hard.

“Honey, we’re husband and wife. If there’s something on your mind, just say it,” Daniel coaxed her.

“I talked to my dad. So, about what you said about my aunt back in the Pinecrest hospital room… let’s just pretend you never said it,” Edith said.

Edith knew just how much trouble her aunt had caused the Zuckerberg family, and she didn’t want to make things harder for Daniel anymore.

He was willing to let her aunt go for her sake, and honestly, that was already more than enough.

She figured it was best to just let her aunt come back, so there wouldn’t be any more drama or headaches for everyone.

“Edith…” Daniel sighed. “It’s not that I don’t want to have her back–she just doesn’t want to come.”

“You saw her?” Edith was taken aback.

Daniel nodded. “Yeah.”

“How is she doing now?” Edith asked.

“She looks fine. But she’s made her own choices,” Daniel replied.

“Got it. Anyway, let’s just leave her alone,” Edith beamed.

Daniel really meant it–he’d truly given up going after her aunt, all for Edith.

Just then, Daniel’s phone rang.

It was Amella.

Daniel’s expression changed instantly he’d just left, so what could have happened now?

“Honey, go on, answer it!” Edith urged.

“Okay.” Marvel tossed the other two antidotes down the drain and flushed them away.

Daniel stood up, phone in hand.

Edith frowned slightly. ‘I can’t let her hear this—if she does, she’ll know it’s not about work, Daniel thought to himself

‘What could it be?‘ Edith wondered.

Not long after, Daniel came back, his face looking grim.

Edith asked worriedly, “What’s wrong?”

Instead of answering, Daniel shot back, “Where’s Mais?”

“Mais left for the office early this morning,” Edith replied.

“I’m going to find her,” Daniel said, determination in his voice.

Daniel grabbed his coat and rushed out the door without a second glance.

“Are you really in such a rush? You just got back from your trip and barely had time to sit down!” Edith’s eyes filled with worry.

‘I’m really the most useless one in this family. Whenever something happens, I’m no help at all,‘ she thought.

‘If only I had even half of Amelia’s abilities…‘ she thought with a sigh.

Daniel hurried toward the office, his mind haunted by Amelia’s news, the words looping in his head like an unbreakable spell.

‘Dad is still alive!‘ Daniel’s thoughts raced. ‘Dad is in Pinecrest!‘

‘All these years, he’s been watching over Mom’s grave!‘ he realized, his heart pounding.

All the resentment he’d held toward his father vanished in an instant. All he wanted to do was cry.

‘Poor Dad, he never betrayed Mom. Life just bent him until he broke, and he never stood tall again, Daniel thought. ‘He couldn’t go home, couldn’t even let his own daughter know who he was…‘

“Bro, what’s wrong? Your eyes are all red!” Maisie had just finished a meeting and gave Daniel a worried look.

In a flash, Daniel pulled her into a tight hug. “Mais…”

“Bro, what happened?” Maisie asked anxiously.

“Dad is still alive…” Daniel said, his voice trembling/

“What?” Maisie blurted out, completely stunned./

The papers in her hands fell to the floor with a loud clatter, scattering everywhere.

Even after Daniel finished telling her everything, Maisie was still completely dazed, unable to snap out of it.
