Chapter 328
In a daze, a familiar face emerged from the endless darkness. Dawson raised his glass and smiled at her. “Night Owl, it’s time for you to start a tear file
“Dawson…” Night Owl scrambled to her feet in a panic, stumbling forward a couple of steps.
“I’m here to say goodbye! Farewell, my love. Go find him–let him love you for me,” said Dawson
“No, Dawson! I don’t want anyone but you,” Night Owl said.
“Listen to me. Or I won’t love you anymore,” Dawson said softly.
“Dawson…” she whispered.
“Go! There’s sunshine and a bright future waiting for you… Goodbye!” Dawson urged.
Dawson’s figure vanished, and a cold wind swept in from the window. Night Owl shivered, coming to her senses.
Outside, it was nothing but endless darkness–there was no trace of Dawson anywhere.
Night Ow! was still sitting right where she had been all along, never having moved at all.
‘Just now… what was that…‘ she thought, dazed.
Her heart throbbed with pain, as if a knife was twisting inside.
She clutched her chest, gasping for breath, feeling like she might collapse. “Dawson, Dawson…”
“Night Owl, what’s wrong?” Amelia asked, startled by how off she seemed.
She hurriedly set down her glass and rushed over to wrap her arms around her.
“I… I saw him… He came to say goodbye…” Night Owl felt so miserable she could barely stay conscious. “This time, he’s really leaving…”
Her words were all over the place, but Amelia still understood what she meant.
Gifted people always have ways of thinking that set them apart from everyone else.
Night Owl was probably having another hallucination, seeing Dawson show up to say goodbye.
Amelia pulled her into a tight hug, her heart twisting with worry as she tried to calm her down in a fluster. “I’m here, okay? You still have all of us…”
“Dawson!” Night Owl suddenly cried out. With a harsh, choking sound, she spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed, losing consciousness on the
spot.
Amelia was terrified. She quickly called Aiden. “Night Owl just coughed up blood and passed out. You need to send a doctor over right away…”
Kayla and Tuff were also staying at this hotel, trying to avoid drawing attention by keeping their interactions as discreet as possible.
When they heard about Night Owl’s situation, the couple hurried over right away.
Soon after, Aiden arrived with a doctor in tow.
“This young lady has been suffering from a long–term illness that caused a lot of emotional buildup. Now that she’s finally coughed up the pent–up blood in her chest, it’s actually a good sign,” the doctor explained.
Everyone exchanged disbelieving glances. “Are you sure?”
Chapter 328
“I’m sure,” the doctor replied with a smile. “Even though I’m Dreiceanlan, actually studied traditional medicine höre
Aiden finally relaxed and added, “He really knows his stuff”
“As long as she’s okay. We’re still going to need Night Owl to have our back in the battles ahead, Kayla said, patting her chest it relief.
Tonight had really scared her out of her wits!
Aiden couldn’t help but feel uneasy inside. ‘Night Owl’s gotten this sick already…
“Don’t feel too bad, little bro. Amelia already told us everything that happened. Looks like you’ve got a real chance now,” Kayla said, giving him a reassuring pat on the shoulder.
Aiden still couldn’t get it. “She’s like this, and you really think I’ve got a chance?”
“She saw Dawson come to say goodbye, and lately she’s been seeing you as Dawson… I actually think that’s a good thing.” Amelia said softly “Aidan, congrats–you’ve finally found the right person.”
Aiden was over the moon with joy.
‘I’d finally gotten what I’d been waiting for!‘ he thought, barely able to contain his excitement.
“Alright, since everything’s fine now, let’s all head out,” Kayla said. “Amelia, why don’t you come hang out in our room? Let Aiden stay here with her.”
“Um…” Amelia hesitated.
‘Was I really about to go be the third wheel in their room?‘ she thought, feeling awkward.
“I’ve got a mission tonight, so you should just stay with your sister,” Tuff said with a knowing smile.
Only then did Amelia finally agree, leaving the room to Aiden and Night Owl.
The next morning, Monica finally stepped out of the butler’s room.
The two of them had spent the whole day tangled up together, doing everything couples do–and then some. Monica looked absolutely content.
As for the poor butler, he looked like he’d been completely wrung dry.
Sure enough, Monroe hadn’t come back.
Everyone in the family was lying unconscious from the drug, including Landon.
“What a bunch of useless idiots!” Monica hummed a little tune, feeling pretty pleased with herself.
Paul looked around the house, at a loss for words. “Miss, where’s the antidote?”
“I’m not giving it,” Monica pouted. “Serves them right for trying to boss me around.”
“Miss, this is really dangerous. What if someone breaks in while everyone’s out cold?” Paul felt a chill run down his spine just thinking about it.
Landon was a member of the Flying Tiger Sect, after all.
He had voluntarily lost his memory and moved in here, even taking the love spell, all to save his wife and son.
But the Kingsley family would never give up on him.
And then there was Amelia–she was supposed to be pretty formidable too, backed by the Zuckerberg family from Lunova.

‘If anyone ruined Mr. Montgomery’s plans… Paul didn’t even dare imagine the consequences.
“Who would dare mess with the Montgomery family? Are they tired of living or what?” Monica said arrogantly.
“Miss, the Montgomery family is strong, but we really can’t keep doing things like this,” Paul sighed.
‘It’s all fun and games until something actually happens–if it does, Mr. Montgomery will be the first to make me pay thought Paul
“Fine, I’ll do as you say,” Monica said, walking over to Landon and giving him a little kick. “From now on, he’s the only one I’ll drug.”
“Uh…” Paul hesitated, at a loss for words.
Paul couldn’t help but feel guilty.
