Landon tapped his fingers rhythmically on the desk. “Mr. Zuckerberg, please, go ahead.”

Daniel had shown up unannounced, not even bothering to call ahead. Even if it was an emergency, this was way out of line. And he’d even sent Amelia off before coming in…

“I know about Amy’s situation,” Daniel said, his expression serious. “Landon, you’ve been through a lot these past few months.”

“It’s my duty as her husband,” Landon replied. “Besides, she’s only like this because she’s pregnant with our second child…”

“No!” Landon cut him off, his tone sharp.

‘He didn’t want anyone blaming his wife for this, not even Daniel, Landon thought.

‘Amelia isn’t crazy!‘ Landon insisted to himself. ‘It’s just the hormones from her pregnancy messing with her emotions–nothing more.

“I’m really glad to see you standing up for her,” Daniel said with a sigh. “But the truth is, she’s sick–just like my mother was back then…”

Landon’s face instantly turned dark and intimidating.

“Luckily, I’ve found something that might help,” Daniel added quickly, almost fumbling as he pulled out a bottle of medicine.

Only then did Landon’s anger finally subside a little.

He took a deep breath, popped open the little bottle, and took a whiff.

“What kind of medicine is this?” Landon asked.

“They’re called Life Elixir,” Daniel replied. “Supposed to cure people who are losing it.”

“Some miracle cure, huh?” Landon scoffed, just tossing the bottle back onto the desk like it was nothing.

Like a handful of pills could fix this. Yeah, right.

If curing someone who’s lost their mind was really that easy, there wouldn’t be anyone going crazy in this world.

“I know you wouldn’t just let her take anything without knowing what it is,” Daniel said, pulling out an ancient–looking book. “So let me be honest with you.”

Landon recognized the book right away.

It was a treasured heirloom of the Zuckerberg family, and Joanna had once handed it over to the Mystic Sect herself.

“Yeah,” said Lucia.

“I did some digging,” Daniel said. “Turns out, my mom didn’t fake her death.”

“What do you mean?” Landon sat up straight, his eyes widened in shock.

Daniel took a deep breath and pronounced each word carefully, “The Resurrection Spell.”

The office was so silent, you could’ve heard a pin drop.

‘A resurrection spell? Does something like that really exist in this world?‘ Landon thought, his mind reeling.

He was stunned, but after witnessing Kimsey’s supernatural healing powers, Landon felt like nothing was impossible anymore.

Landon’s chest rose and fell sharply. “Daniel, are you absolutely sure about this?”

“The Resurrection Spell is dangerous,” Daniel explained. “Women who get pregnant after using it are prone to losing their minds. That’s why the book includes a special remedy.”

He pointed to the notes beneath the formula and explained them to Landon.

“When did you learn to read these characters?” Landon asked.

“I’ve been studying for a long time,” Daniel replied. “There’s this really knowledgeable guy online named Lennon who understands this script. I’ve been learning from him.”

“Lennon?” Landon repeated.

Landon couldn’t help but frown.

Those characters in the old book were so rare, you couldn’t even find a single thing about them online.

Anyone who could actually read that stuff had to be some kind of ancient history buff.

A big–shot scholar named Lennon?

Daniel added, “He’s actually pretty young–not some old professor or anything.”

“A talented young man?” Landon immediately thought of Lennon, who was also young and gifted.

He was young, gifted.

But more importantly, he was always by Porter’s side and had already crossed paths with them several times.

“Landon, who the guy is doesn’t matter right now,” Daniel pressed, his anxiety clear. “What matters is that this medicine can actually save Amy.”

He was terrified that if they waited even a little longer, Amelia might completely lose control and have a total breakdown.

“No rush,” Landon replied, calm as ever.

“You-” Daniel blurted out, barely holding back his frustration.

“Amy’s got a lot of inner strength,” Landon said. “She’s been battling her mood swings this whole time.”

Back then, Catherine had a breakdown not long after she got pregnant.

“Daniel, what exactly is this Resurrection Spell?” Landon asked, his curiosity piqued.

Daniel shook his head. “I don’t know. The book doesn’t mention it at all.”

“Could it be some kind of secret technique passed down in your family?” Landon pressed.

“No idea,” Daniel said, spreading his hands helplessly.

Landon stood up and gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. “Let’s go talk to your dad together.”

Daniel’s eyes went wide. ‘Wait, can we really do that?‘ he wondered.

Amelia had it made at the company–she only had to mention wanting a walk, and two secretaries would instantly show up to keep her company.

Plus, Landon had transformed the top floor into a rooftop garden, so she could get some fresh air and greenery without ever leaving work.

In May, Norava was bursting with colorful flowers, and summer was just around the corner.

Whenever Amelia got tired, she’d just take a seat in the gazebo, and all kinds of snacks and treats would magically appear.

With a life this good, what could she possibly have to complain about?

So why did her emotions still swing out of control?
