Seven had gone to watch Voice of the Divine live before. At first, he was just a casual fan of Vivienne.
Vivienne's livestreamed countdown to her final days, her countless acts of charity, and the way she encouraged other patients battling the same illness—she was beautiful, resilient, and heartbreakingly tragic. All of it made Seven admire her deeply.
The real reason he was determined to release Serena's live recording, though, had nothing to do with Vivienne herself. It was because he'd gotten into a heated online argument with trolls, ended up silenced and falsely accused, and wanted to set the record straight.
But the moment he saw Emilia on stage, everything changed.
He was stunned.
Everyone online was buzzing about Vivienne, and the drama with Tyler was equally notorious. So naturally, the person who couldn't be left out of the story was Tyler's wife, Emilia.
The same Emilia who, according to every rumor, was a doormat—someone who turned a blind eye while her wealthy husband fooled around with other women, suffered in silence, and couldn't even walk on her own.
"This is nothing like what they said online!" Seven's voice shot up, thick with disbelief.
He'd been to both live shows. Sure, maybe one great song or a single lucky performance could be a fluke. But Serena's poise and consistency were undeniable—even Seven could see she was completely at ease onstage. That kind of mastery only came from real talent.
Clearly, Emilia was nothing like the helpless, wilted wife the internet made her out to be.
"Oh my God!" Seven said, still reeling.
"I told you already, Vivienne isn't some innocent victim—she interfered in someone else's marriage," Joyce said, arms crossed, giving him a look. "You kept insisting you just wanted to fight back against the trolls. Now do you get it?"
"And I'm telling you—the reason the audio quality was so bad is because Vivienne arranged it. She kept using Tyler's name—Emilia's husband, by the way. They're not even divorced yet."
"Think about it: Christian is the CEO of Donovan Entertainment. Donovan is one of Voice of the Divine's main backers. Who would dare sabotage Donovan's star performer, Serena, unless someone powerful told them to?"
