Felix was chasing Joyce all over the private room while Seven grabbed her mic and started hyping everyone up. Jayden couldn’t make it tonight, so he’d asked Seven to apologize to her on his behalf.

Christian wandered over and poured her a drink. “So, how does it feel? First day as a free woman?” he teased with a grin.

Emilia took the glass, downed a generous gulp, and grinned back. “Honestly? Feels amazing!”

Everyone burst out laughing.

A few handsome guys had stayed behind too—after all, they’d already been invited, so why not? Someone suggested showing off a few party tricks to liven things up, and the atmosphere grew even more festive.

“I was just curious, okay?” Joyce wailed, her dramatic complaints echoing through the room. “Felix, I swear I’ll never do it again!”

Felix chased her around, shooting back, “You better not! Or else!”

While they horsed around, Owen happened to be walking by outside. The door to their room wasn’t fully closed, leaving a sliver of a gap, so all the chaos inside drifted out into the hall.

Shaking his head at the racket, Owen said to the person beside him, “They’re really having a wild time in there.”

His friend just nodded and chuckled in agreement.

“It’s been ages since I’ve felt this relaxed,” Emilia admitted, taking another sip of her drink.

For once, all the worries she’d been carrying around felt light enough to set aside—at least for tonight.
