She motioned for Secretary Jensen to step aside so they could speak in private.

“You’re not going anywhere!” Chloe blocked their path, glaring from Emilia to Secretary Jensen. “What are you two whispering about that you don’t want me to hear?”

Emilia met Chloe’s gaze. “There’s nothing secretive about this. I just want to separate my family’s assets from the Erickson Group.”

“Including that department?” Chloe shot back.
