Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 282

The crowd was already streaming into the Voice of the Divine live show, filling the seats with a growing buzz of anticipation.

Not far from Tyler’s seat, the three members of the Glenn family had already settled in. The siblings were deep in conversation, words drifting over for Tyler to catch snippets here and there.

“…Come on, Theo, drop the act. You keep playing the nice guy—what if she’s not into that type?” George’s teasing tone cut through the hum, clearly poking fun at something.

“You know the kind of guys she liked before,” George pressed.

“How do you know I’m not genuinely a nice guy?” Theodore Glenn replied, his voice smooth and unbothered.

“Ugh…” George made a dramatic gagging sound and shot a look at their sister.

Ella rolled her eyes so hard it was almost audible, staring at Theodore in disbelief. “You can’t be serious. You? Mister Wolf in sheep’s clothing? The nerve! Remember how you dragged me along as your wingman last time, claiming you had a plan? Your only plan is to get the girl, admit it.”

Ella jabbed a finger at him for emphasis. “You’re the definition of a charming scoundrel. One of these days, I’m telling her exactly what you’re really like.”

Theodore just chuckled quietly, a sound that was both dismissive and self-assured.

Tyler glanced over at them, catching Theodore’s gaze. Reclining comfortably in his chair, Theodore seemed perfectly at ease, and when he noticed Tyler looking, he offered a small nod and a measured smile.

Tyler thought for a second, then nodded back before turning away. Still, his mind wandered. Who were the Glenn siblings talking about? It sounded like Theodore had his eye on someone. Now that was unexpected—he couldn’t help but wonder who could possibly catch Theodore Glenn’s interest.

Glancing at the empty seat beside him, Tyler hesitated, then sent Emilia a message.

Tyler: You should be here soon. Are you running late?
