“If you love her, then go back to her. Don’t worry about me.”
Her voice broke as she sobbed, tears falling into the blood on her wrist, so fragile it seemed a breath might shatter her.
“Don’t say something so foolish,” was all Tyler replied in the end.
He kept his head bowed, a curtain of hair shadowing his eyes, making it impossible to read his expression.
Vivienne, meanwhile, allowed herself a faint, satisfied smile.
By the time the paramedics arrived, she had conveniently “fainted.”
It wasn’t long before the internet exploded with breaking news—#VivienneAttemptedSuicide#
The accompanying video showed Tyler carrying a limp Vivienne down the stairs, her wrists slick with blood, as EMTs rushed to take over.
Vivienne’s tearful voice echoed in the video: “Why would you save me? I was already dying. I don’t know how to explain myself anymore. Isn’t it better if I just end it and be done?”
She looked utterly devastated—face pale, wrist clamped in a medic’s grip, crimson blood staining her skin.
The internet lost its mind.
Jack saw his opening and went on the offensive—
“Oh my God, are they really driving someone to this?”
“I knew something bad was going to happen!”
“Vivienne only had a few months left to live, and they kept pressing her like that. No wonder she lost hope.”
“I never bought into those rumors anyway. Vivienne honestly didn’t know Serena was actually Emilia. She only joined that singing contest to inspire other patients.”
“Exactly. She’s running out of time herself—why would she go after Emilia? Her actions and words have always matched.”
“And about that so-called love triangle—there was never any official announcement. It’s just gossip and shipping from fans.”
…
People have a natural reverence for life, and no one online wants to be blamed for bullying someone to death.
Besides, Vivienne still had plenty of supporters—and plenty more who hadn’t made up their minds.
