Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 364

Theodore gripped Tyler’s arm with one hand and, with the other, pulled a handkerchief from his pocket, forcing it roughly into Tyler’s mouth.

He jabbed the cloth deeper, thrusting it in again and again.

“Filthy mouth,” he muttered, his grip tightening. “Needs to be cleaned.”

Tyler fought back, just as fierce, until he finally managed to free one hand.

He yanked out the handkerchief and spat out a mouthful of blood.

They glared at each other in the dim hallway, neither backing down. Suddenly, Tyler let out a laugh, low and mocking.

He met Theodore’s eyes. “What’s wrong? Did I hit a nerve?”

“I only spoke the truth, Theodore. Everyone in Alden City knows I was married to her. You can say whatever you want—what difference does it make?”

Theodore’s voice was ice. “Everyone also knows you’re divorced.”

“I love her. That’s never changed, not even after your so-called marriage. In fact, I’m grateful you finally lost her.”

Tyler opened his mouth to retort, but Theodore shoved him hard in the chest, pinning him back and cutting off his words.

“I’d never talk about her the way you just did,” Theodore said, his eyes burning. “Let me make this clear: she still hasn’t agreed to be with me, and tonight all we did was share a meal. That’s it.”

“But does it matter?” Theodore’s gaze was unyielding. “She’s left you. She divorced you. The fact that she chooses to spend time with me now—that’s what matters.”

“Face it, Tyler,” he said quietly. “The woman you took for granted, the one you tossed aside—she’s become priceless to me.”

“And not just to me.”

“Tyler, you made your choice. You moved on. So stop acting like you have any claim over her.”

With every word, Tyler’s face darkened.
