“Yes, Dr. Raine.” The young man sprang into action, tapping away at his computer. After a moment, he turned to Tyler. “It was already mailed out.”

“But I never received it.” Tyler frowned.

“Double-check the shipping address on the tracking slip,” Sophia suggested.

“Right away!” The young man clicked a few more times.

He read out an address, ending with, “Vivian Floral Atelier, Vivienne.”

“That should be it, no problem,” the young man said, glancing at Tyler for confirmation.

Tyler had been watching the doctor standing nearby, unable to shake the feeling that something about her behavior was off. But as soon as the records clerk announced the address, Tyler’s thoughts drifted.

Tyler nodded and handed over his ID.

The clerk was about to enter a name in the emergency contact field when Sophia quickly interjected, “It’ll be faster if you check the patient’s form. The emergency contact section is right there—see if there’s any note about the patient’s authorization. If the other party could receive the package, there should be authorization on file.”
