Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 415

Raymond stormed straight over to Tyler, grabbed his shoulder, and shoved him hard up against the headboard.

“How I got in is none of your business!” Raymond snapped.

He’d brought a couple of guys with him, slipped past security while someone was making a delivery, and had them keep the staff busy so he could sneak inside. He was on edge, fed up with everything.

The other day, Emilia and Theodore went on that hot air balloon ride. Raymond had arrived late, got played by Theodore, and sure, that pissed him off—but even then, he hadn’t lost it with Tyler the way Tyler was acting now, like his whole world was falling apart.

“Are you even paying attention to your company anymore?” Raymond demanded.

“What?” Tyler blinked, not following.

Raymond nearly exploded. He jabbed a finger at Tyler, voice harsh. “Because you’ve been hiding out in your mansion, everyone at the office is speculating, and now there’s a whole mob of reporters ambushing Emilia!”

Tyler actually wasn’t fully up to speed. He’d asked Secretary Jensen to handle things, handed over his medical records for the board, and hadn’t checked much news—he’d set up alerts for Emilia’s name, only reading anything about her and ignoring the rest.

“I’ll take care of it,” Tyler said quietly. He’d make a statement later.

Raymond was even more furious at Tyler’s calm indifference.

“So what the hell are you doing, Tyler?” Raymond glared, exasperated.

Tyler just looked back at him, eyes numb, lost somewhere in the past. He remembered what happened back in Cerulion. He wondered, if he and Emilia had ever had a child, would things have turned out differently?

“Say something!” Raymond was practically shaking with rage.

At that moment, the house staff rushed in, breathless, reporting an intruder. Tyler waved them off, signaling he understood and they could leave.

He turned back to Raymond.

“She’s with Theodore now.” Tyler finally said, after a long silence.

“What did you just say?” Raymond stared, thinking he must have misheard. Weren’t Emilia and Theodore just friends? Wasn’t Theodore the one chasing her?

Seeing the shock flicker across Raymond’s face, Tyler felt a twisted, bitter satisfaction.
