Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 422

Time crept by.

The next day, Emilia unveiled The Glenn Group’s new yellow gemstone collection.

This time, she’d lined an entire street with sunflowers. Bathed in sunlight, the blooms looked breathtaking.

Winding through the field of sunflowers was a narrow path, and along that path shimmered a golden river.

It was a clever piece of staging.

Emilia stepped in front of the crowd, smiling as the cameras followed her every move. “This river,” she said, “is called Time.”

“There’s a famous saying: You can’t step into the same river twice.”

“But this golden river is different.”

She left the crowd dangling, a playful riddle in her words.

“We’re going to invite a few of you to join us inside. Follow along, and you’ll see exactly what I mean.”

With that, she gestured for the staff to start picking volunteers from the audience.

Suddenly, a commotion broke out.

“Vivienne’s live! She’s streaming now!”

“Oh my god, where is she? That place is gorgeous!”

Emilia glanced over, frowning slightly.

Lately, Vivienne had seemed uncharacteristically quiet. According to her own team, she’d been recovering from an illness and prepping for her first big livestream.

But Christian Donovan had shared a different rumor: apparently, Vivienne’s debut stream would be broadcast from Owen’s mansion—Owen being one of Tyler’s closest friends.

Emilia knew a thing or two about Owen, especially since she’d spent more time at The Glenn Group lately. One of the sales associates at the flagship store, Sadie Lewis, was said to be Owen’s girlfriend.

Actually, ex-girlfriend.

Emilia had witnessed Sadie’s epic breakup with Owen firsthand. She still wanted to high-five Sadie for that.
