Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 444

Tears and blood soaked Theodore’s grip on Tyler’s hand. Right now, Tyler looked utterly defeated—nothing like the man he used to be.

Owen could hardly believe his eyes.

He’d known Tyler since they were kids; Tyler was always the leader among them. Brilliant, capable, the one who steered the Erickson Group through a major transformation and turned it into the most powerful corporation in Alden City.

In Owen’s memory, Tyler was the kind of man who could stare down a crisis without so much as blinking—composed, proud, unshakable.

But now…

This was the first time Owen had ever seen Tyler like this.

Glancing nervously from side to side, Owen’s gaze landed on Theodore.

He’d always thought of Mr. Theodore Glenn as the gentle gentleman—the one who smiled warmly, always so composed, so refined. But seeing Theodore now, Owen realized just how terrifying he could be.

Just a few minutes ago, the look Theodore gave him sent a chill straight through him.

All that warmth had been nothing but a mask.

When it came down to it, Theodore didn’t hesitate for a second.

How had things gotten so out of control?

How did it come to this?

Almost without thinking, Owen turned and glanced toward the car parked in the distance.

Was it because of Emily?

As the thought flashed through his mind, Theodore let out a cold, mocking laugh.

“Tyler, you think a few words and a couple of tears are enough to make me give her back to you? That’s wishful thinking.”

“And another thing.” Theodore’s voice was icy. “She isn’t some possession to be handed over at your convenience.”

“Tyler, you never learned how to respect her. You never cared about her feelings, her pain, or her happiness.”

Tyler swallowed the ache in his chest and met Theodore’s gaze. “And what if she says she loves me? What if she wants to be with me? Would you let her go then, Theodore?”
