Farewell to Love: The CEO's Desperate Chase novel Chapter 449

He was already divorced from Emilia. He was here, by Vivienne’s side now—so why did she still have to lie? Why keep targeting Emilia?

But Vivienne just smiled.

“Why?” she said, her lips curled in a laugh. “Isn’t it obvious? Tyler, if I didn’t do all this, would you even notice me?”

“Even now, knowing I’m dying, you’re still so distant, so indifferent.”

“So what else am I supposed to do? I have to add a little drama, don’t I? Maybe then you’ll finally see me as the patient I am—maybe you’ll remember the promise you made to me!”

Her voice grew sharper, her emotions spiraling out of control as she locked eyes with Tyler. “Do you remember, Tyler? You promised me that for these last six months, you’d stay by my side. You said you’d love me.”

“I’m already divorced from her!” Tyler snapped.

“But you refuse to marry me!” Vivienne shrieked, her voice trembling with rage. “You won’t even touch me!”

Her chest heaved, anger and pain twisting her features.

“You’ve been sending Israel to ask how I got into Hillside Manor, haven’t you? Fine, I’ll tell you.”

Vivienne glared at him, her words cold and deliberate. “It was simple. I tried passwords.”

“I tried everything—anything I could think of, connected to you, to her, to both of you.”

“The day the Erickson Group officially rebranded.”

“Your wedding anniversary.”

“Emilia’s birthday.”

“And the date I heard about from somewhere else, the one when you both went to Cerulion—God knows what happened there.”

There was pure hatred in Vivienne’s eyes when she spoke of Emilia.

“In the end, the front door opened with her birthday. The bathroom? Your wedding anniversary.”

She let out a bitter laugh. “All your talk of loving me—this is what it looks like?”

“Vivienne!” Tyler shouted.

“I did it on purpose.” Vivienne straightened her back, staring him down. “I went live from that house on purpose—to humiliate her, to make sure everyone saw it. I wanted the world to know that I, Vivienne, had replaced her as Mrs. Erickson, and that she was nothing but the cast-off wife!”

Tyler’s hands clenched so tightly on her shoulders he looked ready to snap. He wanted nothing more than to choke the life out of her.

So everything she’d said before—it was all an act.
