Faux Vows, True Desires novel Chapter 503

"My brother said the other rooms are now guest rooms. This is your home; how could you possibly stay in a guest room when you return?" The young couple moved into a room that was previously a guest room. Before Lucinda decided to come back early, the Blue family had quickly transformed two adjoining guest rooms into a large suite.

"I don't have any special requirements. No matter what kind of room it is, the only thing we need is a bed to sleep on." As they chatted, they walked down the hallway.

When they passed by Nathan's room, the door suddenly swung open. They instinctively stopped.

"Dad."

"Lucy."

"Dad, what's going on here?" Several people were inside her dad's room, packing things up. It looked like they were clearing out the entire room.

"I'm moving to another room." Lucinda blinked, not quite understanding why her father was changing rooms.

"It's messy." Nathan said, offering no further explanation. Lucinda suddenly recalled the incident where Madeleine had been scheming against her father but ended up spending the night with Hayden instead. She understood what her father meant by "messy."

"Dad hasn't stayed overnight at home for a long time." Nathan added another sentence, explaining to his daughter why he was moving now. He usually stayed at his own hotel or at the Blue family's estate. With his wife and children not at home, he didn't feel like returning to Sunnyglade Abbey. If there was anything that required his attention, he'd come back, deal with it, and leave.

"Dad, do you need any help from us?" Stefan asked considerately.

"No need, you wouldn't know where to put my things. I'll have them move it. Lucy, Stefan, go take a walk, get to know the surroundings. We have dinner at six, just be back by then."

"If you want to go out, feel free to pick any car from the garage. Once you've chosen one, get the keys from the security booth beside the garage." Nathan reminded his daughter and son-in-law, "Skywatch isn't like Pinehurst. Wear a few more layers to avoid catching a cold." Once the sun sets, the temperature in Skywatch drops significantly. The lowest temperatures could get down to a few degrees, which would be the coldest winter temperature in Pinehurst.

"Dad, I know. We're just going to walk around the estate, not heading out." Having just returned and not being familiar with the place, Lucinda didn't plan to go out. Nathan nodded, seeing that the couple was wearing coats, and waved them off to enjoy their walk.

Downstairs, the elderly couple was playing chess together. It seemed like they were having a pleasant time in their retirement.

Chapter 503 1

The old lady had always approved of Madeleine's qualities and had advised her eldest son countless times to end things with Janice, marry Madeleine, and have more children. She believed they shouldn't let Keith have all the power alone. She even warned that with Keith being distant from his father, there would come a time when Nathan would regret it. But unfortunately...

Now, in the old lady's eyes, Madeleine was just a homewrecker trying to ruin her younger son's marriage. "Lucy came back, didn't she? I thought I'd come to congratulate you on finding her," Madeleine said, turning to direct Hayden to set down the gifts she brought. She smiled at Lucinda, "Lucy, these are gifts from me to welcome you home."

Chapter 503 2

This was her home! No way was Hayden going to call the shots here. Her parents were alive and well, so Hayden had no right to lecture her. A mistress strutting around like she was family? Ridiculous! The last time Madeleine came to the Anderson household, things didn't go well for her. Lucinda had given her a piece of her mind. Now that she was back in Skywatch, it seemed the drama wasn't over yet.

Chapter 503 3

"Mom, Dad, did you see that? What kind of attitude is that? Madeleine came with good intentions to welcome her back, and she... she interrupted me while I was speaking! Which of our children behaves so rudely?" "You'd think the Moore family would have raised her better, and the Andersons should have schooled their daughter-in-law," Hayden grumbled, viewing Lucinda’s defiance as a failure of both the Moore family's upbringing and the Anderson family's guidance.
