Towering trees stretched endlessly in every direction, their leaves filtering the sunlight into dappled patterns on the forest floor. Frustration slowly built within him, his expression darkening.
"Just how far did that damn spatial fissure throw me?" Orion grumbled aloud, glancing around the unfamiliar surroundings with annoyance. "At this rate, I’ll have to walk a week just to reach the Thunderpeak Kingdom’s border. No wonder Uncle Edgar and Brother Lucan couldn’t find me."
Heaving a sigh, Orion continued onward while keeping high alert. He had tried to fly there before but had to fight with aerial beasts every so often, and that proved to be even slower than walking.
And just as he was leisurely walking on the path, an abrupt chill surged down his spine, every instinct screaming danger.
Without hesitation, he leaped backward, narrowly evading a devastating strike. An enormous claw slashed downward, gouging a massive scar deep into the ground exactly where he had stood moments ago.
Orion’s expression hardened, all playfulness instantly extinguished. Standing before him was a colossal beast, seemingly a mix of horse and lion.
Its powerful muscles rippled beneath thick hide, its eyes glowing with malevolent crimson light. But what unsettled Orion most was the distinctly oppressive aura emanating from it, eerily similar to that terrifying serpentine beast he’d encountered in the ruin.
Before Orion could even formulate a counterattack, the creature unleashed a terrifying roar, shattering the tranquil forest.
Understanding his dire predicament, Orion made an instant decision. Without another thought, he turned, unfurled his thunderous draconic wings, and soared skyward at breathtaking speed, pushing his body to its limits.
Yet, the monstrous creature refused to allow him any reprieve. With shocking speed, it leaped into the sky, massive limbs swiping downward violently.
Orion desperately attempted to dodge mid-air, but the beast’s claw tore through the air with unstoppable force, brutally smashing into him.
Pain exploded through Orion’s body as he hurtled downward, crashing mercilessly into the ground.
A deafening impact echoed throughout the forest, dirt and shattered debris scattering everywhere.
Gasping in agony, Orion struggled upright, blood trickling from his mouth as he glared fiercely upward.
"Dammit," Orion cursed, his breathing ragged. "This bastard’s strength is at Exalted Grade at least. Has it already comprehended laws?"
Lumi’s frantic voice urgently echoed in his consciousness, panic unmistakable in her tone.
[Master! Be careful! This beast definitely has begun comprehending the Law of Wind! You cannot face it directly!]
Orion clenched his fists tightly, frustration and adrenaline surging within him. He understood clearly that a direct confrontation spelled certain death.
Yet, fleeing seemed equally impossible, this creature’s strength, speed, and aura surpassed all the beasts he had encountered before combined.
As if mocking his dilemma, the beast slowly descended, landing gracefully in front of him. Its massive paws crushed the earth beneath its weight, its lion-like mane bristling with hostility as it stared down at Orion with contempt.
Orion gritted his teeth fiercely, determination and defiance burning in his eyes as he swiftly made his decision.
Without hesitation, he activated his Draconic bloodline, roaring furiously as brilliant, thunderous energy surged forth from deep within him.
His body rapidly transformed, enlarging significantly as thick, glistening scales of radiant purple erupted across his muscular body.
Fierce lightning arcs danced menacingly around him, tearing through the air and scorching the earth beneath. Massive draconic wings of lightning unfurled majestically behind his back, emanating a terrifying pressure.
In these past days, Orion had absorbed tens of thousands of High-Grade Mana Crystals. He had forced his Mana and physique cultivation to the absolute peak of Tier 7.
Even though he hadn’t yet ascended fully, his power had reached an unprecedented level. Orion’s eyes glowed with intensity, and he released his Dragon’s Might in a full, unrestrained explosion of domineering authority.
The oppressive pressure of Orion’s Dragon’s Might slammed directly into the creature’s soul, momentarily staggering it.
