“Like…” His voice dropped to a rumble that sent heat curling through my stomach. “All the things I think about doing to you every
night.”
My breath caught, but I forced a casual tone. “Oh? Care to share?”
“Come here,” he patted the space beside him on the bed, his mouth curving into a wicked smile. “And I’ll tell you.”
I stayed rooted to the spot. “I think I’m fine right here.”
Caelan’s eyes glinted as he moved to push back his covers. “Then I guess I’ll have to come to you.”
I rushed forward, pressing my hands against his shoulders. “Don’t you dare! Your wounds aren’t healed yet.”
He smiled up at me, victorious. “Then feed me.”
Heat bloomed in my cheeks. I picked up a macaron and held it to his lips. He took a bite, his eyes never leaving mine. Then he suddenly frowned, capturing my wrist in a gentle grip.
“What happened here? His thumb brushed over the reddish mark on my finger.
I tried to pull my hand back. “It’s nothing. Just burned myself a little making the macarons.”
Caelan’s expression darkened. He pulled my hand closer, bringing my finger to his lips. His tongue touched the burn, warm and wet as it circled the tender spot. His eyes stayed locked on mine, sending a jolt of electricity down my spine.
“Does it hurt?” he murmured against my skin.
My voice came out softer than I meant. “Not anymore.”
His lips moved to my wrist, kissing the pulse point there, and my body trembled. I jerked my hand free, shoving the macaron toward his mouth to break the tension. He bit it, but then his hand snaked behind my neck, pulling me close. I gasped. “What are you-”
Before I could finish, his lips pressed against mine, pushing the other half of the macaron into my mouth.
The sweet strawberry filling burst on my tongue, mixing with the heat of his kiss. His tongue swept in, teasing, crushing the macaron against my palate. The flavor melted into something richer, sweeter, as his lips claimed mine, nipping and sucking. His tongue danced with mine, tracing the roof of my mouth, pulling a soft moan from me. Our breaths tangled, the taste of strawberries lingering as he pulled back just enough to breathe.
“Sweet enough?” he asked, his forehead resting against mine, his voice rough.
I was dizzy, my voice barely a whisper. “You are sweeter.”
His grip tightened, and with a quick tug, I was on the bed, pressed against his side. His hand slid down my arm, then slipped under my dress, grazing my waist. My skin prickled under his touch. His lips crashed into mine again, hungrier this time, his tongue plunging deep, stealing my breath. I felt him shift, his body pressing closer, the hard line of his arousal unmistakable against my hip.
“Be careful of your wound,” I whispered between kisses, my voice breaking.
He nipped at my earlobe, his breath hot against my skin. “You’re my medicine.”
When he reached my breast, he rolled my nipple between his fingers, drawing a gasp from my lips.

Chapter 102
“Help me, Sabi,” he groaned against my neck, guiding my hand downward until I felt the hard length of him straining against the fabric.
I wrapped my fingers around him, stroking up and down through the thin material. His breathing grew ragged.
“Like that,” he rasped, his hips shifting to meet my rhythm.
Heat pooled in me, and I climbed onto his lap, my dress riding up to reveal my thighs. I rocked against him, the friction of his hardness against me sending sparks through my body.
I leaned down to kiss him, my tongue teasing the corner of his mouth before trailing down his throat, across his chest, down to his firm abdomen.
I tugged at his hospital gown, exposing him to my gaze. He was hard and thick, veins standing out against flushed skin, the tip already glistening with moisture. I ran my tongue experimentally across the head, tracing the sensitive ridge underneath. Caelan sucked in a sharp breath, his hands fisting in the sheets.
I took him into my mouth, my tongue swirling around him as I moved up and down. My hand worked the base while my lips and tongue focused on the sensitive tip. His thighs tensed beneath me as I hollowed my cheeks, taking him deeper. His groans urged me
“Sabi,” he panted, voice strained. “God, that feels amazing… you’re so good.”
We were so caught up in each other, the world around us disappeared.
“I told you guys, Caelan’s recovery ability is absolutely beyond imagination. Yesterday he was still so weak, today he’s definitely-” Peter’s voice boomed down the hallway, growing louder with each step.
My blood turned to ice. I was still positioned between Caelan’s legs, my mouth wrapped around him. Every muscle in my body seized as the unmistakable sound of footsteps approached the room.
“But the doctor clearly said he needs at least a week before he can get out of bed and move around. Don’t be too optimistic,” Leon’s voice countered, just as loud.
“Could you two please stop shouting in the hospital? This is a patient ward, not your office!” Scarlett’s sharp reprimand echoed off the walls.
I tried to pull away, but my body refused to cooperate. Panic flooded my system as I heard the door handle turn.
Caelan reacted with lightning speed. His eyes snapped open, instantly alert. In one fluid motion, he gently but quickly withdrew from my mouth while his other hand grabbed the blanket.
‘Easy,” he whispered, his voice barely audible as he covered himself and smoothed my disheveled hair. His palm pressed against my shoulder, guiding me down beside his leg under the covers.
The door swung open.
“Wait, isn’t this Sable’s bag? Scarlett’s voice rang out before anyone could say hello.
I squeezed my eyes shut and held my breath.
“Sable was here? When? We didn’t see her downstairs just now,’ Leon said, his confusion evident.
Peter stepped closer to examine the treats. “And these macarons look really fresh. Must have been delivered recently.”
Caelan’s voice came out remarkably steady. “She stopped by about half an hour ago. Brought some comfort food.”

He coughed once, masking the slight breathlessness that remained. “The nurse called her to the office to fill out some visitor paperwork, so she stepped out.”

Under the blanket, I pressed myself against his thigh, trying to make myself as small as possible. My heart hammered so loudly I was certain they could hear it.
Peter moved closer to the bed, his sharp eyes scanning Caelan’s form. “Hey Caelan, what’s with that weird bulge under your covers? Hiding some treasure in there?”
