Megan calmly looked through a few different music applications. When she searched for the song in her browser, she realized that it already had its own dedicated article. The song was completely credited to Alyssa. She got the same answer even when she entered her question into an Al application.
Scoffing, Megan placed her phone down. Alyssa sure had some nerve. If she had discussed this matter with Ferrell Entertainment recently, there was no way that Jimmy wouldn’t know about it, considering how much he cared about this particular issue. If Jimmy knew, he would surely tell Megan as well.
It was clear that Alyssa had taken the credit for the song without consulting Ferrell Entertainment. Based on Jimmy’s easily irritable and righteous personality, he would certainly disagree with the change as well.
Did Alyssa really look down on Ferrell Entertainment? Did she really think that Howard would solve all her
problems for her? Or did she think that she could do anything she wanted because she only had six
months left to live?
Megan’s thoughts were interrupted by the sound of sobbing next to her. She looked over and saw Jessie
wiping the tears from her eyes.
When Jessie noticed that Megan was looking at her, she hastily wiped the tears away and blubbered, “I’m
sorry, Elena. It’s just that… The song really touched my heart. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t be supporting someone
else. Wait… That’s not right… Alyssa is a guest judge, not a contestant.”
It was obvious that Jessie’s thoughts had turned into a chaotic mess from how hard she was crying.
Megan couldn’t help but feel that she was being oddly cute at that moment. She grabbed a tissue and wiped Jessie’s tears for her.
“I’m not going to blame you,” Megan said softly and comfortingly. “I think that it’s a good song too.”
After all, she was the one who wrote it.
Jessie breathed a sigh of relief through her sobs.
It didn’t take long for Alyssa’s performance to come to an end. Her tearstreaked face was shown on the
live broadcast, creating an image of a broken but still persevering beauty. In the next second, the camera
switched to Howard, who was seated in the audience.
Howard had his own special seat. He had the best view in the studio, but his seat was also hidden just enough to avoid drawing attention. Although rumors circulated that he would make an appearance, they weren’t widespread, so many in the audience hadn’t seen him.
But now everyone knew that he was present since the live broadcast camera had intentionally switched from the stage to him. He looked as calm as ever, dressed in a tailor–made suit that was imported from
Izania.
The suit was incredibly flattering on his lean figure. Waves of nobility seemed to roll off his body even when he was just sitting down. In fact, he didn’t need any other accessories to enhance his noble bearing.
Chapter 33
His hands were resting casually on the armrests, but eagle–eyed viewers noticed that the edges of his eyes were slightly reddened, though they couldn’t be sure if it was caused by the lighting in the studio.
Shrill screams erupted throughout the studio while the comments flooded in.
“It’s Mr. Larson!”
“Mr. Larson looks extra handsome today!”
“Mr. Larson never usually attends these types of events, but he made an exception for Alyssa today! If
this isn’t love, I don’t know what is!”
“Mr. Larson’s eyes are reddened. He must feel so upset on Alyssa’s behalf.”
