Steven didn't alert anyone about this. He quietly arranged for a car and personally took Cynthia to a psychiatric hospital.
The psychiatrist that Maverick had brought yesterday pretended to check her physical health, but actually spent a long time talking with her.
The doctor concluded that Cynthia was suffering from a severe psychological disorder. It seemed that she was trapped in her own pain and unable to pull herself out of it.
For now, it was still manageable as she hadn't shown any self-harming behavior.
However, Steven feared that it would only get worse and that one day, she might hurt George. So after a long night of reflection, he made up his mind.
Naturally, he couldn't send her to a hospital in the center of Draventh. There were too many people. News of this kind could never be allowed to spread.
After all, George was engaged to Rhea. If anyone were to hear about this, it would bring trouble to both of them.
So Steven chose a more secluded hospital, known for its quiet environment. At least Cynthia would be comfortable there.
Sylvia was at the hospital that day to collect her medical records and prescriptions and to pack up the rest of her belongings.
Jackson and Sawyer had decided that she would live outside of the hospital for now, with several doctors assigned to stay with her.
Sylvia wanted to get better. After two days of consideration, she finally agreed.
As she walked out after chatting with Madison, she ran into a new group of people. One glance was enough to tell that they were wealthy.
Among them sat a well-dressed middle-aged woman. Her face was pale and tense despite her elegant clothes.
"I told you I'm not sick," Cynthia said through gritted teeth, holding back her anger. "I'm perfectly fine. Are you trying to drive me to my grave?"
How could she accept this?
She believed that she wasn't sick and was perfectly normal.
She just couldn't let go of Gerard, and she was angry that his death had some indirect connection to George. Worse, the Snider men were all siding with an outsider.
What did that make her? What were all these years of her efforts worth?
Steven said nothing. He simply instructed the hospital to start the admission process and discuss a treatment plan.
Sylvia had seen this scene countless times before.
