Chapter 1645: Progressives & Traditionalists

Primordial Haven World:

This was a world with a purple sky and billions of pagodas that reached into the sky. In this world, the closer someone is to the barrier of the world, the closer they are to Primordial Chaos, the higher their strength and status. Primal Great Divide and six others had the tallest pagoda in the world. Normally, these individuals remained in cultivation and rarely showed up unless it was important.

But today, the pagoda around the Primal Great Divide was full of activities. For the past few years, numerous gigantic ships have entered the pagoda as the best warriors from around the world slowly made their way. Today was the deadline, meaning the last ship had arrived.

Primal Great Divide — a titanic humanoid creature with dark-green scaly skin, four arms, half a face of flesh and the other half of spiritual nature, wearing black armor that perfectly fit his body — looked at all the Fiendgods in front of him. Despite the gigantic nature of his kind, he still towers over the tallest of them.

"I will not give a grandstanding and motivating speech," Great Divide calmly said. "We are the future of the Primordial House, and as always, it’s time we showed these old-fashioned people why. Do you understand?"

"Yes, House Master!" All the fiendgods answered in unison.

"Good."

Great Divide no longer hesitated and entered a purple ship with an insignia of an egg surrounded by primordial clouds. The other fiendgods, all clad in their armors and looking all strange, followed him. No Fiendgod was driving the ship. Instead, a Mountain-tier race — which is a race that has been granted permission to live at a high altitude of a mountain — called the Swift Blade Mantis was the conductor. Such a job was beneath a Fiendgod, while also not fit for the slave races that lived on the surface of this world.

The ship activated and directly entered the River of Time. It then used the power of this Grand Construct to rapidly navigate through the endless space of Primordial Chaos. After what felt like a small nap for these powerful entities, they finally arrived at their destination: a massive arena in the middle of nowhere in Primordial Chaos.

Great Divide left the ship and flew in front of another group. His arrival immediately formed a noticeable contract. While the fiendgods he brought wore armor, the others opposite him all remained in their natural states, with only a few individuals wearing accessories such as an armband, a head crown, or an animal pelt.

"Lingzi? You’re the one who came this time?" Great Divide asked as he looked at this humanoid creature with the lower body part of a snake, a pair of wings, and a serpentine head.

"Yongrui? Why does it have to be you?"

"Why can’t it be me?"

"I don’t want to deal with someone who cannot get serious, no matter the situation."

"Oh, I can get serious. You people never give me a reason to."

"Oh, sure," Grand Elder Lingzi Hundun, the War Machine, calmly said. "Let’s get this over with."

"You sound confident. Did anyone new appear on your side?"

"You’ll see for yourself," Great Elder Lingzi smiled, which was terrifying given his sharp fangs. Great Divide did not like these words. They have been keeping an eye on the other lineage, but they had never heard of the appearance of a new genius.

"Now I’m excited," he replied. The two sides glanced at the arena, which was a world of its own, before choosing someone from their sides. Great Divide chose the peak Paragon Pure Chaos Flame, while Lingzi chose Guochao the Star-Buster from the Lightning Tribe. The two primordial entities entered the aran to face each other.

"You filthy traitor who has abandoned their heritage. Today, I will bring the blessing of Primordial Chaos that you have discarded," Guochao cursed as he condensed a spear from purple lightning.

"Traitors? What a joke. We love Primordial Chaos even more than you can fathom. But unlike you, savages, who remain stagnant and cower in one position while humans and others Acquire Life rule the Chaos Universe, we strive for improvement to one day regain our status as the true rulers of this universe."

"Improvement?" Guochao sneered. "You imitate their culture, ways of life, and fighting style, but think you are making progress?"

"We didn’t copy them — they copy us. It’s not our fault that they have so many members that now, our way of life is associated with them."

"Even if what you say is true, doesn’t that mean they have taken something you’ve created and perfected it? How are you going to surpass them if they are even better at something you created?"
