"Bohui has always been an odd one among our kind," Great Elder Lingzi calmly said. "He always considered himself a thinker first, followed by a warrior. One day, he decided to seal his bloodline and cultivate from the ground up — just like those Acquired Lives.
"People thought him a fool, but when he actually used this method to break the limit of his bloodline, everyone was shocked beyond words. At first, we thought he was an only case, but he encouraged others to follow and started a brand new path.
"A path unique to our kind — our path."
Great Divide silently observed the warrior called Bohui. He understood the potential of this path. Their kind can now have the advantages of Acquired and Primordial Life. Although their cultivation will take longer, and the process might be dangerous, from now on, they will no longer be limited by the restraints of their bloodline.
This method will not just add more variety to how Fiendgods battled. It will also increase the hopes of people with lower-tier bloodlines to reach Adulthood or the Elder Level of strengths. This method — if spread through the entire race — could revolutionize everything and begin a new revival for their kind.
’This Bohui must die, and his idea must also be eliminated,’ Great Divide quietly thought. The traditionalists have always held onto the Qi Luck and destiny of the entire race, but a string of failures has weakened them to the point that the progressives were on the verge of taking control. The appearance of Bohui was the last attempt of these people’s luck. As long as he dies, the progressives will have full control of the race’s luck and lead them as they see fit.
"It’s indeed unique, but it’s hard to say whether it’s the correct one or not."
"True," Great Elder Lingzi nodded. "The seed has been planted. Now, it’s just a matter of time to see what it grows into."
"I guess we will see."
After Bohui’s great victory, more traditional fiendgods with unique laws began to show off their strength. The outcome of the battle then slowly changed to a 60-40 for the progressives. While the traditional team did not reverse its losing streak, they were satisfied with such a significant improvement. Meanwhile, the progressives were fuming. Their plan was straightforward: humiliate these old-fashioned fiendgods with outdated views until they realized their way was the only path forward for their kind.
After the competition, the arena turned into a house for a meeting between the two Primal Tier Entities. Great Divide and Great Elder Lingzi activated the protection in the room before starting their meeting. "Do you want to go first, or should I go first? Or maybe, we should fight for it. It’s been a while since our last battle, and I’m intrigued by how much you’ve improved.
"It’s time to clean up the other houses," Great Elder Lingzi said.
"You’re not fun," Primal Great Divide sighed deeply. "But you’re right, they have been getting a little cocky."
Primordial Chaos is vast, and as long as it exists somewhere, Fiendgods can be born. To distinguish themselves, they divided everybody into houses with tribes based on the Fiendgod’s attributes. The Hundun House, named after the [Primordial], can be considered the royal lineage of Fiendgods. As such, despite their fundamental differences, they often collaborated to maintain the other houses in line.
"Are we doing it the usual way?"
"Yes," Great Elder Lingzi nodded.
"Alright." With these words, a small chaos will soon occur among the Fiendgod race. A battle between progressives and traditionalists is soon to take place. By the end, any house with too much ambition from both sides will have been "eradicated" and become a casualty of this confrontation.
"Now, let’s move on to the main issue."
"Main issue? I thought this was it."
"I don’t have time to play political games with you," Great Elder Lingzi said directly. "Did you also receive a message from your old leader?"
Great Divide was briefly quiet. "So, you too?"
"Yes."
"That’s a shame."
"Indeed," Great Elder Lingzi nodded.
The Fiendgod has been able to survive for so long despite how they have essentially lost the Innate-Acquired War for two reasons: firstly, they are favored by the Primordial Cardinal, and secondly, two of their old chiefs were Primordial Chaos Saints. Unfortunately, these two disappeared long ago after deciding to work together on a newly discovered ruin.
"What did your guardian say?" Great Divide asked.
"What did yours say?"
The two became quiet. The guardians were created from their race’s participation in the Ultimate Taboo. However, they are in a state of deep slumber due to their flawed methods and are not active in the world unless absolutely necessary.
"In truth, we haven’t awakened them," Great Elder Lingzi said.
