“This is a lot of emotion over no more than a bay.” Adil teased them both as he moved to lean over the railing and look down the bank. “The orange trees smell good.”

“Oranges? Is that what I smell?” she asked curiously.

“Yes but they aren’t anywhere ready.” Phineas cut off her thoughts. “It’s too early in the year to pick them. They’d be bitter and sour.” He gave a huff. “Adil is right. He stinks. We need to get him to a shower, so he doesn’t make my orange trees die.”

Adil shoved Phineas and leaned closer to him, “you’re not smelling particularly sweet either.”

“I think we’re all a little smelly,” Juniper cut off the argument as Phineas started carrying her through to a set of stairs.

“Not you.” Adil said with a grin. “You always smell good to me. I’d lick your armpits even now.”

She met Phineas‘ disgusted eyes with her nose scrunched up. “One of us has kinks I’m not willing to explore.”

“You let me lick your pussy but not your armpit?” Adil laughed as he bounded up the stairs ahead of them with far too much

energy.

“Adil!” she looked around worriedly in case Lucia or others were around.

“Not once did he say a bed.” She rolled her eyes at his antics as Phineas carried her into a brightly lit and breezy bedroom. The windows were wide open and the salty and sweet smell of the water filled the air.

“Oh, this bed is going to make tons of new memories,” Adil threw himself backwards onto it and propped himself up on his

elbow.

“Get your filthy body off the bed,” Beni growled at him. “If I need to sleep with you in a bed, it’s going to smell like Sunshine, not your sticky ass. Get up.”

Juniper watched as Beni and Adil grappled while Beni tried to pull him off the bed, complaining about the stench he was going to leave on the bed. Adil was grabbing one of the pillows he insisted was Beni’s and rubbing it over the front of his jeans While Beni was smacking furiously at him.

The words fell from her lips before she could stop them and Beni and Adil both looked at her while Phineas‘ chuckle rumbled against her.

“Did you just call me a child?” Beni growled at her.

“Is a teenage boy a child? Yes. Then I think I did.” She snickered at the outrage. “In fact, I’d go so far as to say you’re behaving like a hungry and overtired child who needs a timeout. Both of you actually, fighting like you are thirteen–year–old boys.” She looked at Phineas with a shake of her head, “I pray for all girls.”

Phineas laughed, “I would love all girls. Little princesses I can spoil rotten like their mama.” He carried her into the ensuite bathroom and stood her on her feet. “Since those boys out there want to waste time, let’s get us cleaned up first. We’ll be the first ones cleaned up and the first ones down to food.”

He began removing her clothes with ease and called out over his shoulder, “Beni, when Juniper’s luggage comes up, find her a sundress to wear. I’m helping her clean up.”

“What?” Beni came into the bathroom. “But –”

“You snooze, you lose, sucker,” Phineas grinned as he tossed Juniper’s shirt at him. “I get to soap our girl down in scented soap and wash her hair and take care of her while you unpack stuff with Adil.” He pressed a kiss to Juniper’s forehead. “I love taking care of you sweetheart. I’m glad those two buffoons were too busy groping each other to let me have this.”

Juniper laughed suddenly, a loud bubble of happiness bouncing around the room.

“What?”

“I’m learning so much about the three of you already. Beni is really cranky when he’s overtired. Adil’s antics amp up and Phineas gets all growly and possessive. I’m so glad we took this trip.”

Beni shook his head and kissed her cheek, “I’m not cranky. Just because I don’t want to sleep in a bed which reeks of Adil’s body odor doesn’t mean I’m cranky.”

She kissed his lips softly, “you’re pouting.”
