He lowered his lips to hers and kissed her softly, as if worried she’d duck away and run. Instead, she tightened her fingers in his grip over her head, tilted her head backwards a bit and stood up on her tiptoes to deepen the kiss.

whimpered as if she wanted to get closer to him.
