Juniper watched as Denise’s chin did a full womble before her entire face fell and the loud wailing sobbing commenced. People were wide eyed at the sight of the woman’s histrionics and Juniper giggled.

Phineas heard the noise bubbling up from Juniper’s chest and he looked at her quizzically. “What is so funny?”

“I was simply thinking if she’d put this much energy into her bedroom antics she might have been more fun to watch on

screen.”

“Juniper!” Adil’s laugh echoed in the crowd.

“I can’t help the way my mind works. She laid there like a blow–up doll and did nothing but this, with the foot stomping and the waving hands all over the place and the big crocodile tears not to mention she managed to do the pouty thing so well, I mean, this is top tier acting. The Toronto film festival is going to need to make room for one more actress on the red carpet.” She snickered, “I mean, really, though, she’s much more interesting when she’s emotional.”

“No, she’s not,” Phineas sneered. “She’s disgusting and far too ugly to be in movies. I mean, unless they wanted to use her for a horror movie. She couldn’t even get hired to do porn where hot guys like ugly women. She’s revolting.”

“Phineas,” Juniper giggled. “That’s not very nice.”

“Considering how many people I’ve seen her be mean to without any regard for their feelings, I don’t give a flying fuck what her sentiments are on any subject. She’s a cold, cruel, manipulative bitch who just tried to kill my driver in order to force me to talk to her after my lawyer repeatedly let her know it wasn’t going to happen.” His eyes connected with the officer approaching them. “There is video surveillance all over this place. My security team also has video of the impact of the car. They were recording because my fiancée was being chased by her ex–husband through the building and wanted to make sure if anything went sideways, it was captured. Instead, it captured my ex–wife driving her vehicle full tilt into the SUV which was waiting for us.”

The officer looked at the two vehicles, “you’re saying she rammed your car?”

“She rammed my car.” Phineas waved to his head of security and the man immediately put his phone in the officer’s hands.

Beni spoke up, “we want charges pressed. The driver was severely injured. He has facial trauma, possibly a concussion and his arm is broken and he’s going to be taken to hospital to sort out how badly broken but it’s possible he may need surgery. Additionally, the damages to the car are going to be in the tens of thousands of dollars as this is a specially retrofitted vehicle for Mr. Perez‘ safety and security. Finally, the perpetrator here,” he waved at Denise who miraculously stopped crying the minute Beni started speaking, “was notified this morning by email that her divorce is finalized and we believe she crashed into my client’s car for the sole purpose of causing him injury since she

changing her last name yet, but I understand from her father when I talked to him yesterday that he’ll be personally ensuring she retakes his name.”

“Kyst!” Denise screamed as Kyst stood there in awe at the situation. “You’re a lawyer. You need to help me.”

“I specialize in realty law, not criminal law.”

“Kyst!” the sound of a woman screaming his name from the edge of the parking lot made all the heads turn.

Her eyes flitted to Kyst and noted the immediate revulsion there. She cocked her head to one side at his reaction.

“Micheline, what the hell are you doing here?”

“I love you. I came for you. I knew this morning would be difficult and I’m here to support you.”

“How the hell did you find out I was here?” Kyst took a step back when she reached for him.

“She’s so pretty,” Juniper whispered.

Phineas heard the comment and his head whipped towards her, “don’t you even dare.”
