Chapter 112 Meeting a Troublemaker

“What’s there to get used to?” Skylar scoffed, his flirtatious gaze locked on Hillary. “I can eat anything, as long as I’m with you.”

Hillary shivered. “Stop being so disgusting.”

What an absolute jerk! He practically asked for trouble every single day.

Skylar glanced at Nancy. “Are you okay with this, Nancy?”

Nancy offered a faint smile in response. “Of course. Hillary and I used to eat at places like this all the time back in high school.”

“You’ve led her astray, Hillary,” Skylar teased.

“This is called experiencing real life. What would you know? If you don’t like it, you can leave!

Hillary shot back.

Skylar ordered some barbecue and beer to go with the food.

It wasn’t long before their food arrived. The owner, a cheerful woman, smiled at them. ” You’re all so handsome and beautiful! I’ve added a few extra wings for you. Come back soon!”

“We will. Thank you, ma’am,” Hillary replied with a grin.

Skylar stared at the lamb skewer for a moment before finally picking one up. He took a bite and was pleasantly surprised. It tasted even better than he remembered.

“This is it! I haven’t had this in years!” Hillary exclaimed, eating two chicken wings back-to- back, taking a sip of beer, and letting out a satisfied sigh.

Nancy smiled. “It’s been ages since I’ve had this too.”

The three of them, exuding a natural elegance, drew glances from passersby. Yet, the dim street lighting kept their identities hidden.

Out of the corner of her eye, Nancy suddenly noticed two figures acting suspiciously.

She watched as a man and a woman moved around, frowning slightly. Then, in the next moment, the man suddenly kicked over a table and its chairs.

“What kind of place is this? There’s hair in the barbecue! Are you trying to make us sick?”

The owner rushed over. “Where’s the hair, sir?”

“Look!” The woman held up a skewer, and sure enough, a strand of hair was stuck to it.

Nearby customers glanced over, a chorus of disgust rippling through the crowd.

“Oh my gosh. That’s so gross. I can’t eat this!”

“Their food was always so clean before! How could this happen?”

The owner looked flustered. “We check everything carefully. How could this have happened?”

The angry man’s expression darkened. “You’re asking us? Your hygiene standards are awful. Are you seriously trying to make us eat your hair?”

“I’m sorry. That’s not what I meant. You don’t have to pay for your meal today. Truly, I’m so sorry,” the owner apologized repeatedly.

“No way! You think a free meal can erase the mental scar you’ve given me?” the man snapped.

The owner looked helpless. “Then… what do

you want?”

“10 thousand dollars, and we’ll call it even,” the man demanded, asking for an absurd sum.

The owner’s face fell, and her husband stepped forward. “We work an entire month and can’t even make 10 thousand dollars! And that hair might not even be ours. You’re going too far!”

The man fought back, standing abruptly. “Old man, are you lecturing me?” Then, without warning, he kicked the barbecue stand over.

“Ah!”

The customers recoiled in shock, quickly stepping back.

The owner’s vision blurred, and she nearly collapsed. Furious, she shouted, “You’re trying to blackmail us! I’m calling the police!”

“The police? Go ahead,” the man replied with haughty arrogance. “Let everyone know your food is unsafe. From now on, I’ll be watching your every move. Let’s see how you manage your

business!”

Tears welled up in the owner’s eyes. “Why are you doing this? We have children to support. We simply can’t give you that much money!”

“10 thousand dollars. Not a cent less,” the man said, his tone dripping with arrogance.” Otherwise, forget about ever running a successful business again!”

The customers around them recognized the man as a thug, but fear kept them silent.

“Hey, you’re interrupting our meal!” A cool, clear voice cut through the air.

Nancy glanced at them. “You planted that hair in the food yourselves. I recorded the whole
