Chapter 116 Urgent Situation

The crowd around them was buzzing with admiration.

“As expected of Raine! Her designs have always been stunning.”

“Is the Lidell family trying to stage a showdown? Since when did Nancy suddenly start designing for them?”

Someone tugged at the person who spoke and whispered, “Listen, I heard Nancy might actually be related to the Lidell family…”

Some of the people present at the venue already knew the truth, but no one said it out loud.

Regina, glowing with pride, went backstage to find Raine and told her that Jerome was very impressed with her work.

“Really?” Raine’s whole face lit up. “Mom, I told you I wouldn’t let you down. Who knows? Maybe Jerome will even introduce me to Graham one day!”

“If that day really comes, your work will skyrocket in value.” Regina’s voice was filled with

relief and satisfaction.

“Yes!” Raine’s eyes shone with anticipation before they suddenly dimmed with worry. “But Mom, it seems like something’s wrong with Nancy.”

Regina’s excitement was doused in an instant, and her voice became cold. “What now? The show’s about to start. What kind of trouble did she cause again?”

“It seems a couple of her models can’t make it…” Raine sighed. “Honestly, it’s partly my fault. She doesn’t understand this industry. I should’ve helped her arrange things ahead of time.”

Her kindness made Regina’s heart soften even more. “This isn’t your fault. She shouldn’t have taken on what she can’t handle. I’ll go check on her.

“What a headache! She’d better not drag down tonight’s show.”

Regina went over to Nancy’s side. At that moment, Nancy and Hannah were at the door.

Hannah seemed anxious. “Two of the models suddenly had an accident and are in the hospital. Two others are caught up with something and can’t come either. What do we do now?”

So Raine hadn’t been exaggerating.

Regina’s expression turned gloomy as she approached. “You can’t even manage a few models, can you? I’ll find replacements for you.”

Nancy lifted her gaze and answered in a cold tone, “That won’t be necessary.”

“Then what exactly is your plan?” Regina’s face fell. “Don’t tell me you’re planning to send the same models back out. There’s no way to pull that off with such short intervals!”

Even now, Nancy was still so stubborn.

Regina was getting irritated. “Do you even realize how big the fallout would be if you screw this up and drag Raine down with you? The general manager of Dazzling Boutique, Jerome Chesson, came specifically to see Raine!”

“To see Raine?” Nancy narrowed her eyes. “Are you sure about that?”

That only fueled Regina’s pride. “Of course! Raine’s had an extraordinary gift for design since her teenage years. You’ve never even set foot in this circle, so don’t kid yourself. He’s not here for you.

“One day, Raine might design alongside masters like Graham.’

“Then, I hope your dream comes true.” Nancy let out a short, helpless laugh. “We’re busy. Please leave.”

Regina frowned. “Nancy, can’t you speak properly for once? What about the models? What are you going to do?”

“I’ll handle it.”

“You’d better make sure you do. Don’t you dare drag Raine down with you!” Regina snapped coldly, then turned to leave. But after a few steps, unease got the better of her, and she ended up calling a few models anyway.

Hannah turned to Nancy. “Ms. Moore, what do we do now?”

“Don’t worry,” Nancy reassured her. She had already anticipated this moment. “I’ll get in touch with a few models.”

Dazzling Boutique had its own pool of models. Hence, she wasn’t panicking.

“Excuse me, are you Ms. Moore?”

Several tall women approached, each with striking poise and vaguely familiar faces.

“And

you are?” Nancy asked in confusion. “Wait. Is that you, Ms. Lloyd?”

The woman in front, Orphy Llyod, smiled. “That’s right. Mr. Fuller sent us to help you, Ms. Moore.”
