Kneel Down to Win Back the Heiress Queen novel Chapter 23

Chapter 23 Embarrassing Winter in Public

Winter burst out laughing. “You’re such a joke, Nancy. Didn’t I tell you to kneel and ask nicely? Why did you have to embarrass yourself like this? I’m taking this bracelet.”

Raine smirked. Seeing that the sales assistant had boxed up the bracelet, Winter reached out to take it. However, the sales assistant handed it to Nancy instead. “Miss, the bracelet has been paid for. Here you go.”

Nancy was puzzled, but she soon grasped the situation after giving it some thought.

Winter found the situation unacceptable. “What did you say? Who paid for it? Did you guys make a mistake?”

“It’s not a mistake,” the sales assistant responded firmly.

A look flickered in Raine’s eyes, and she whispered something into Winter’s ear.

“Really?” Winter asked in surprise.

“Without a doubt,” Raine replied, her voice low.

Winter glared at Nancy with growing contempt. “I didn’t expect you to stoop this low. What a disgrace.”

“You two are really the perfect pair. Nothing decent ever comes out of your mouths,” Nancy said coolly, casting them a dismissive glance before turning and walking away.

“You!” Winter was utterly livid, her eyes red with fury.

Unable to contain her curiosity, Raine asked, “Winter, how do

you

know Nancy?”

“She was quite the person back then.”

“Huh? What do you mean?”

Winter snorted. “Do you know the Moores?”

Raine’s heart skipped a beat. She wondered if Nancy had something to do with the Moores.

Suddenly, Raine said, “By the way, I know a few skincare product researchers that Nancy fired. All of them are capable workers. You’re hiring, right? I’d like to recommend them to you.”

Gideon had given her quite a sum to spend. He would refuse to take it if she returned it to him. Hence, Nancy thought of buying him something. At that thought, she began carefully choosing a tie.

Nancy spotted a navy blue tie with vintage embroidery in the middle. Just as she was about to take it, a hand snatched it away. She looked up to find a man around her age shopping for ties as well.
