Hannah let out a laugh and said, “Ms. Moore is so beautiful and kind. She’s my absolute goddess!

Unlike certain people who set sales targets even for team–building events. Seriously, it’s like they don’t even see their employees as human!”

“Exactly. Ms. Moore is way better. She actually cares about her team,” another person quickly

chimed in.

Winter’s group heard every word, and the sentiment struck a chord with some of her employees.

After all, who wouldn’t prefer a generous boss?

Compared side by side, Nancy’s team clearly had the better deal.

Even if their performance wasn’t the top, they still got to enjoy a team–building event in such a beautiful location, which was a clear sign that she valued her people.

Winter, sensing their jealousy, scowled. “Nancy is just trying to provoke you! Do you really want to stoop to their level? They’re a bunch of failures. We’re aiming for the top, while they’re content to settle for scraps.”

Rebecca chimed in quickly, “Ms. Seabourne is right. These clowns from Duran Corporation are just amusing themselves. They’ll be out of business soon enough.”

“You’ll be out of business!” Hannah shot back. “We’re going to surpass you!”

“With what?” Rebecca sneered. “Your products haven’t improved one bit. You’re destined to be

crushed under our feet.”

Winter gave them a look of pure disdain. “Nancy, it’s sad to see how far you’ve fallen, and yet your people are so full of themselves. What a pity.

“Blind confidence is just arrogance! If you’ve got the skills, prove it by beating our sales first. Otherwise, stop yapping like a dog.”

“Don’t worry. We’ll have beaten your sales within the hour,” Nancy said calmly.

Winter froze for a moment, then instinctively pulled out her phone, wondering if Duran

Corporation’s sales had skyrocketed.

They had risen, but not by that much. They were still five million short of Blossom Corporation’s numbers.

“How ridiculous Nancy, are you bragging now?” Winter stood and fixed her gaze on her. “Fine, let’s make a bet. If you surpass us, I’ll treat your team to dinner tonight.

“But if you don’t… Duran Corporation has to post an apology to Blossom Corporation on Twitter and admit you can’t compete.”

Clara frowned. “Ms. Moore, just ignore her.”

Nancy replied, “Deal.”

Clara and the others stared at her in shock, wondering if Nancy had lost her mind.

Winter blinked in surprise but felt a thrill, so she quickly masked. “Are you sure?”

“Yes. But your offer is boring. If we win, you give each of us 100 thousand dollars,” Nancy said.

Winter did a quick headcount. There were about 15 people, and that came to 1.5 million dollars.

It was a hefty sum, but…

“Alright!” Winter arched a brow, a triumphant smile tugging at her lips. “Let’s wait and see.”

Her mood instantly lifted. She even ate a slightly burnt skewer without a single complaint. Then her phone buzzed, and her eyes widened in surprise.

Today just kept getting better.
