Chapter 8
Samuel got off the call without sensing anything amiss. Meanwhile, Jessica was rather unhappy
“The days of me having you all to myself have come to an end so quickly. We’ll have to start soaking around again,” she grumbled Hearing that, Samuel said warningly, “Don’t let Emily sense that something’s up between us. You know what’ll happen if you do.”
Jessica teared up “Yes, yes, I got it. You’ve said that countless times now.”
Once Samuel noticed that Jessica was about to cry, he finally coaxed her, “You shouldn’t cry when you’re pregnant. It’s bad for the baby.”
“But you were mean to me just now.”
“I’ll make it up to you. I’ll get you a bag. Which one do you want?”
Jessica looked up at him and said, “Let’s head to the office and do it one more time before you head home.”
Samuel wasn’t quite keen on that. “There’s not enough time. I told Emmy that I’ll be home in two hours.”
“You can always say you ran into traffic on the way. After all, there’s always heavy traffic on the highway from the airport.”
Samuel checked his watch, still feeling hesitant. Jessica wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. Though he tried to push her away at first, he soon held her close and began kissing her fiercely. Sure enough, their passionate kiss stirred up his desire.
“You little vixen,” he said with a hoarse chuckle.
Delighted, Jessica urged, “Come on. Let’s go. We’ll head back to the office and go crazy one last time…”
Samuel responded by scooping her up and hurrying toward the basement parking lot.
Giggling away in his arms, Jessica reminded him, “Our luggage…”
“Leave it,” Samuel said impatiently.
The two had a quickie in the car before heading back to the office, where they spent two hours going at it. Once it was all over, Samuel finally remembered to give Emily a call.
“Sorry. The number you have dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later.”
Samuel felt that something was off. Emily never turned off her phone.
Jessica, who had just prepared a cup of coffee for Samuel, came in and sat right on his lap.
