Ryan had thought Matthew was asking about something important at first.

It took him a second to realize Matthew was actually referring to the sunflower seeds in his hand.

"There's more in the storage room—both raw and roasted."

Ryan pulled a pack of sunflower seeds from his pocket and held them up for Matthew to see.

The Medusa Gang looked like they were on vacation.

Matthew had already run a rough analysis of the massive octopus and the ships.

But they'd all been heavily modified—extra armor, extra weapons.

Given the size of the giant octopus, and assuming it could dodge incoming fire, it could probably destroy a ship every five minutes.

As more ships were destroyed, the pressure from enemy fire would drop.

That would only make it easier for the creature to wreak havoc.

There were still over thirty ships afloat in the Deep Sea Zone, but Matthew was certain—they'd all be sunk in under an hour.

Watching the chaos unfold, Ryan turned to Matthew and asked, "Matteo, do you think they still have a way out of this?"

Matthew shook his head.

"If they'd scattered earlier, some might have gotten away. But now? They've huddled together, thinking it's safer. They're sitting ducks. Their only real option now is to blow up their own ships—take the octopus down with them. A one-for-one trade is the best they can hope for. But if they just dig in and hold out, they'll all die, and that thing might walk away with nothing but a few scratches."
