Chapter 65 No One Really Knows Catherine Is His Wife

Harry was stunned. He hadn’t meant to make Catherine cry.

All he wanted was for the child to have a better life. He never said he would keep Catherine from seeing her baby.

He pulled out a tissue and handed it to her, ready to offer a few words of comfort. Before he could speak, a knock sounded at the door, and he heard Nigel calling him downstairs.

Harry swallowed back his words. “I’ll explain later.”

But Catherine didn’t hear him. She only stared blankly at the matcha mousse before her, her mind fixed on one thought that she had to leave Neovara.

The farther away, the better. She longed for a place where Harry would never find her- somewhere she could hide the child.

But then her thoughts turned to all the ties anchoring her to Neovara. Cutting them off completely wasn’t so simple.

There was also her newly founded company.

These thoughts tangled in her mind, pulling her in every direction. She slowly curled up on the couch, uncertain of what to do.

Meanwhile, Harry moved with practiced ease through conversations with the city’s elites.

Not far away, Michelle watched him, her eyes brimming with unguarded affection. She didn’t notice Tyson slip quietly in behind her.

When Michelle turned around, her expression shifted ever so slightly. She quickly gathered up her dress and slipped into the restroom.

Moments later, Tyson walked in. While washing his hands, he lowered his voice so only she could hear.

“Did

you see how the Zimmerman family treats Catherine? They’ve already decided the child she’s carrying will be the sole heir.”

A cold light flashed in Michelle’s eyes. “That child will never be born.”

“Harry already knows the baby is his. You’ll need to move quickly,” Tyson warned, pulling a tissue to dry his hands.

He let a business card drop discreetly to the floor. “If you need help, call this number.”

Michelle didn’t pick it up right away. “I have my own plan. But if your people handle it, no one will ever suspect me.”

“Then we’ll talk later,” Tyson said, flicking the tissue neatly into the trash before leaving, as though he and Michelle had merely crossed paths.

After he left, Michelle picked up the business card from the ground and slipped it into her

pocket.

The more the Zimmerman family valued this child, the more determined she became to prevent the baby’s birth.

She knew exactly how things would play out.

Even if Michelle managed to stay with Harry, she would never have a place in the Zimmerman family once the baby was born. Rachel would be watching her every move, making sure she didn’t get a single cent.

Michelle’s gaze darkened as she looked at Rachel, surrounded by admiring gazes. She longed

to see Rachel break down in tears.

Harry was surrounded by prominent figures, so Michelle was unable to approach him. All she

could do was watch from a distance.

She longed for the day when she could stand proudly at Harry’s side at events like this.

Still, compared to Catherine, her situation wasn’t so bad.

At least the world outside the family knew her as Harry’s woman. Hardly anyone even knew

Catherine was his wife.

Sometimes, Michelle couldn’t help but feel that self-promotion really did pay off.

After sending Harry a message, Michelle slipped quietly out of the Zimmerman residence.

Not long after, Tyson texted her. “The Zimmerman family had just allocated one billion dollars to the child Catherine was carrying.”
