Chapter 91 The Child Is Gone
The first person Catherine saw after waking up was Adam. She curled up and bit her fist as tears. rolled down her cheeks.
Adam comforted her, saying, “Ms. Quinn, Mr. Zimmerman has taken care of those people who hurt you yesterday, but your child is…”
Adam didn’t know how to ease the pain she felt from losing her child. He knew how much Catherine
cared about the child.
She didn’t have many friends or relatives, so she was looking forward to having a child to keep her company. She had even prepared herself to become a mother.
The accident had been so sudden.
Hearing footsteps outside the door, Adam turned around. “Ms. Quinn, Mr. Zimmerman has arrived.”
Catherine’s body tensed up. Then, she slowly turned around.
When she met Harry’s gaze, she forced herself to sit up. Seeing how exhausted Harry looked, she smiled at him bitterly.
“Now, you don’t have to fight for the child with me. It’s gone.”
Having read the room, Adam left when Harry entered.
“Are you okay? Do you feel unwell anywhere?”
Harry sat by the bed and pulled Catherine into his arms. “I’m sorry I came too late.
Catherine couldn’t hold back anymore. The dam broke, and she nuzzled into Harry’s embrace,
crying loudly.
Harry held Catherine tightly. He wanted to comfort her and tell her that they would have another child in the future, but he couldn’t bring himself to say it. Even if they had another child, it still wouldn’t be the same as this one.
Harry squeezed his eyes shut for a moment and swore to Catherine. “I won’t let Tony go. Besides, I never wanted to snatch your child away from you.
“I wanted you to stay with your child in the Zimmerman residence.” He shut his eyes briefly, but Catherine never answered him.
Catherine was crying her heart out. She didn’t hear anything Harry said. She only knew that her stomach was now flat because she had lost her child after almost four months into her pregnancy.
There was no way she wouldn’t be sad. If she were more careful and noticed Tony’s malicious

intentions sooner, none of this would have happened. It was all because she had been too careless.
After tiring herself out from crying, Catherine passed out in Harry’s arms. Harry called the doctor over. After making sure that Catherine was fine, he tucked her in and stumbled out of the room.
After carefully closing the door, he turned around and saw Rachel and Nigel, whose eyes were red
and swollen.
Rachel’s voice was trembling. “Is the child really gone?”
Harry nodded. “The child’s corpse will be stored in the hospital for now. They could tell that it was a
boy.”
Rachel’s vision went black, and her body wobbled. If Nigel hadn’t caught her in time, she would’ve
fallen to the floor.
