My Great Escape Led Me to You novel Chapter 275

When Isabella stepped out, she found Andrew Lane still rubbing his hair dry with a towel.

“Why aren’t you using a hair dryer?” she asked.

Andrew looked up. “It’s broken. The staff are trying to find a spare.”

She walked over and gently took the towel from his hands. “Let me help you,” she said softly. “Sit down.”

Obediently, Andrew settled onto the sofa. Isabella stood beside him, her hands pressing the towel over his head, moving in gentle, soothing circles.

They chatted idly for a few moments, the easy conversation filling the room. As they talked, Isabella’s gaze drifted—almost involuntarily—toward the bed in the middle of the room.

There was only one bed.

Andrew was staying here tonight. Where would he sleep?

They’d both used the same shower gel; their skin carried the same faint, clean scent.

A sudden thought sent her heart thumping. She bit her lip, cheeks warming, and looked down at Andrew.

After a moment, she summoned her courage and asked in a quiet voice, “Andrew, where are you planning to sleep tonight?”

His answer was a low, husky murmur. “Where do you want me to sleep?”

She bit her lip harder.

Of course, she wanted him to stay with her.

The finals were scheduled for the day after tomorrow. In the meantime, Emily Blair stayed quietly in her room; everything was calm and peaceful, no more chaos, no more unwelcome visitors.

Since Larry Mitchell had issued his public apology online, the scandal had faded fast—barely anyone talked about it anymore.

Arianna George called on behalf of the organizers to offer a few words of sympathy.
