Old Dreams No Return (Serena) novel Chapter 151

Chapter129.

“Shut up! Caitlyn, didn’t I give you explicit orders? Didn’t I warn you not to hurt Kaylie? Didn’t I make myself perfectly clear?”

Caitlyn shivered violently.”I messed up, Leland, I admit it. But I took the fall for you. How could you do this to me?”

A cold smile touched Leland’s lips. “Is that what you believe? Do you feel wronged?”

Caitlyn let out a sharp, bitter laugh, “Yes, I feel wronged. I regret ever loving you, Leland. But mark my words. All these assets-the entire Leslie Group, every single piece-are registered under my name. You have nothing without me.”

Caitlyn’s declaration seemed to ignite something in Leland. A maniacal laugh escaped him. “Excellent! Perfect! You’ve just reminded me exactly what needs to be done.”

Without another word, Leland turned to Raul.”Reclaim every single cent, every asset I ever gave Caitlyn. The Leslie Group’s stock has plummeted, hasn’t it? Well, since Caitlyn is the legal representative, use her name to facilitate everything. I don’t want anything from her-not a penny, not a share. I just want my little princess back.”

Raul hesitated. The mention of me made him particularly uneasy, afraid to voice any dissent or anger in the charged atmosphere.

As Leland rose slowly to his feet, a heavy silence fell over the room. Fearful, no one dared to utter a sound.

Caitlyn fixed Leland with a venomous glare.”You can’t do this, Leland. I devoted myself to you for six months. You can’t just discard me like this! I lost our child because of you. You clearly loved me once. How could you be so cruel?”

Leland’s voice was cold.”Love you? Did you ever deserve such a thought? If it weren’t for my concern about the pain Kaylie would suffer, would I have ever allowed you to get pregnant in the first place? Now that she doesn’t want the child, what possible use is your baby to me?” Then, he turned to his bodyguards and said, “Don’t let Caitlyn die. Make her apologize to Kay. I want her to face the full consequences for the Leslie Group’s downfall. I want her to confess to the shareholders herself!”
