But that calm on the surface? It didn’t last.

Tiffany’s obsessive streak didn’t just fade after being publicly shut down. Nope. It twisted into something far more persistent, way creepier.

She stopped trying to cause a scene in public, opting for a new tactic: staking him out.

She somehow got her hands on Liam’s class schedule. Soon, her shadowy figure-almost like a ghost-started popping up everywhere: the lecture halls, the library, even right outside the guys’ dorm.

She stopped the loud dramatics. Now, she’d just fix him with a stare, her eyes brimming with a mix of hurt, resentment, and accusation, repeating the same questions endlessly.

“Liam, why are you doing this to me?”

“You promised you’d take care of me! Did you forget all that?”

“You owe me an explanation, or I’m not leaving!”

This quiet, constant badgering was even more maddening than her dramatic blow-ups.

Liam’s patience was long gone. He’d give her the cold shoulder, speed up to lose her, but she’d always pop up again.

Liam and his roommates got back to their dorm after playing ball. The moment they pushed open the door, a wave of perfume, definitely not theirs, hit

them.

And there was Tiffany, just sitting at his desk, her fingers mindlessly stroking an open textbook of his.

His roommates exchanged grim glances. The dorm room instantly became thick with awkwardness and tension.

Uh, Liam…”

One of his roommates finally spoke up, their voice edged with annoyance and the unmistakable irritation of being disturbed.

Liam’s face instantly became a storm cloud, dark enough to curdle milk.

He didn’t say a word. He strode forward and clamped down on Tiffany’s wrist with such brutal force, she yelped in pain.

He practically dragged her, yanking her roughly out of the dorm room through the dead silence and his roommates’ stunned gazes. They stumbled down the stairs, and he hauled her straight toward the campus gate.

Liam! You’re hurting me! Let go!”

Tiffany struggled, her voice thick with tears and disbelief.

Liam ignored her, his jaw clenched tight, a chilling aura of anger radiating from him.

He dragged her off campus, into a quiet back alley, before finally yanking her hand away.

Tiffany rubbed her reddened wrist, tears instantly welling up in her eyes. “Liam! You asshole! What gives you the right to treat me like this?!”

“What gives me the right?”

Liam finally spoke, his voice ice-cold. “Tiffany, that’s a question I should be asking you.

What gives you the right to keep haunting me? To mess with my life? To bother my roommates? Who do you think you are?”

“I just want an answer! I want you to go back to how you were before!”

Tiffany shrieked hysterically. “It’s all because of Serena, isn’t it? If it wasn’t for her-”

“Even without her, it still wouldn’t be you!”

Liam snapped, cutting her off. His eyes were razor-sharp, ruthlessly shattering all her self-deceptive fantasies. “My ‘attention’ to you back then? That was just me being polite because we went to the same school and the teachers asked me to look out for you. I wasn’t thinking straight, I missed what truly mattered, and I let you get the wrong idea.

But I’m telling you explicitly right now, there’s nothing between us. Never was, never is, and never will be!”

Tiffany flinched, stung by the raw disgust and absolute finality in his eyes. Her face went from pale to a deep flush, a mix of shame and rage boiling within her. “You… how can you even say that?! You clearly-”

“Clearly what?” Liam cut in, challenging her to finish.

He took another step closer, practically gritting his teeth. Each word was sharp, enunciated. “Tiffany, my patience has limits.

If you keep this up-stalking me, harassing me, even bothering people around me-”

He paused, his icy gaze sweeping over her face, which had instantly frozen. His voice held a final, unmistakable warning:

“I’m not gonna hesitate to lay out everything you’ve done, every single detail. Like how you ‘accidentally’ spilled juice just to get into my clothes, how you ‘conveniently’ fell down the stairs, and all the crap you’ve been saying behind Serena’s back… I’ll compile it all, exactly as it happened. Then I’ll send it to the school forum, all the relevant teachers, and your department heads. And guess what? Your scholarships, those outstanding student awards, and that coveted grad school admission you’re so obsessed with? You think they’ll still be waiting for you?”

All the color drained from Tiffany’s face in an instant. Her lips trembled, and for the first time, real terror flashed in her eyes.
