Chapter169.
Seeing me leaving. Leland dragged his tired body to catch up with me.
The corridor was crowded. Even though I was wearing a mask, I didn’t want to be discussed because of Leland.
I just wanted to leave quickly.
But Leland caught up with me in a few steps and grabbed my arm. “Kay, please, I really didn’t know Caitlyn was saved by Leroy. I have already reported Leroy to the police. I reported him when he kidnapped you last time. Please don’t leave me. Can you stay?”
I struggled hard but was still tightly held by him.
Just then, a fist suddenly swung towards Leland. He took a few steps back after being hit, blood flowing from the corner of his mouth.
It was Tyrell.
“Anya, are you okay? Why didn’t you tell me that you came here? I could have accompanied you. Meeting him alone, you might be in danger.”
Tyrell was worried, his eyes filled with anger.
I took a deep breath and said, “It’s none of your business. I just want to make it clear to Leland. And tonight, you two are not going to have a fight. You
can’t hurt him!”
Tyrell froze and then chuckled,”Anya, are you going to forgive him and get back together with him?”
I rubbed my forehead. “No. Tyrell, please don’t meddle in this. Leland is very weak now. I am just…”
“You just don’t want to see him get hurt, especially when he is sick. Having a fight with him now will make me look bad. But it’s gonna happen sooner or later. Leland, how about one week later? I challenge you.”
I took another deep breath. I couldn’t understand the way men solved things. I found violence terrible.
