I curiously approached, and the report was very clear.

The assistant explained more clearly, “Mr. Pearson, Anya, the daughter of renowned designer Mary Jane in Britain, is quite talented in design. However, she made a rebellious choice and did not go to study at the University of Oxford, the best in Britain. Three years ago, Anya obtained an intermediate designer certificate, but she hasn’t produced any new works so far.”

Leland squinted his eyes and said, “Even if she is the master’s daughter, it can’t change the fact that she is a plagiarist!”

The assistant nodded. “According to the investigation, Anya did not personally come, and it seems that the submission was not made by her.”

Leland nodded; a hint of fierceness reflected in his mysterious eyes.

My heart skipped a beat.

Why was Leland so stupid?

At that moment, the applause continued from the audience. My design draft was displayed on the screen with a big red cross. The word “plagiarism” written below greatly stung me.

Everyone was pointing and whispering about Anya’s design, calling her a plagiarist.

Even Leland, as a judge, made a statement.

The design clothing of the Leslie Group has been selected. Here, I specifically state that we will sign a contract with Ms. Hoffman for the Young Forever, Down Never’ series of clothing.”

Once again, thunderous applause filled the air, and the joy in Leland’s eyes was so obvious.

Leland had forgotten that Caitlyn was no longer his secretary, and he had never given Anya a chance to explain whether she had plagiarized.

I looked at him, watching him ignore me and stand up to shake hands and sign a contract with Caitlyn on the

stage.
