Chapter 59

Leroy nodded and clapped his hands. “At this very moment, you are still pretending to be the loving good husband in the public’s eyes, Mr. Pearson. I truly admire you for that! However, privately, you are indeed despicable! How could you bear to kill your old love just after finding a new sweetheart?”

Leland clenched his fists and spoke with a hint of intimidation, “Stop talking nonsense. Kaylie is my wife and all I’ve got. Whose orders were you on to kidnap her? How dare you do that?”

Leroy burst into laughter and said, “You are indeed good at acting, Leland! Don’t you know Caitlyn? Kaylie is about to die. With the four of us here watching as well as the gasoline we’ve poured, there is no way she could escape! So why are you still pretending?”

Leland was confused. “What do you mean? I don’t get it! Let me tell you! I don’t care who you are, please let my wife go.”

Leroy burst into laughter, “Oh my goodness! Why are you still pretending to be a lovey-dovey couple with her? Leland, on no, Mr. Pearson, isn’t this going too far? We’re not at a press conference or in a public place. It’s just a few of us here. Are you never going to stop?”

After Leroy’s words, his subordinates couldn’t stand Leland either. One of them impatiently tugged at the black stockings on his head and said, Leroy, this rich guy is ridiculous! How could he be so shameless that he still wants to act as a loving husband while he already has a mistress? Why bother wasting time with him? Just ask him to give us the money, and then we will give Ms. Perez a quick death and quickly run away!”

“It makes sense! You still have some humanity. Mr. Pearson, our boss wants two hundred million dollars rather than ten million dollars now. How could the heir of the Leslie Group be worth only ten million? It’s an insult to Ms. Perez. Transfer the money to us now!”

Leland’s eyes shimmered with danger and he was on the verge of fury.

He was angry, perhaps because the kidnappers suddenly demanded a large sum of money, or maybe he was angry because the kidnappers directly exposed that he was the one who wanted to kill me.
