Caitlyn’s shouting caused Leroy to touch his forehead and mutter to himself, “It seems you want Ms. Perez to even die without knowing the truth. Well, that’s not bad. People who don’t know the truth will never be hurt.”

After Caitlyn stopped shouting, she noticed Leroy looking at her with a confused expression, as if questioning her. Trying to appear calm, she went on, “Did you get it wrong? Do you even know who she is? She’s Ms. Kaylie Perez, the heir to the Perez family!”

Leroy gave a slight smirk, then exchanged another careful glance with Caitlyn.

He still didn’t reveal that Caitlyn had been in collusion with him.

“Yes, we are here to kidnap Ms. Kaylie Perez. Leland, transfer the money to me now. Someone has hired us to kidnap your wife. Pay up, and we might make this quick for her. If not, none of you can leave!”

Leroy’s sudden change caused my heart to skip a beat. At that moment, I understood.
