Chapter 70
Caitlyn was on the verge of collapsing, yet she trusted Carlie’s words and immediately went for a thorough medical examination without delay. When she received the medical report that Carlie had specially arranged, she sat down on the floor, despairing.
The diagnostic report prominently noted, “It is strongly recommended to consider termination of the pregnancy owing to the significant risks identified.”
Caitlyn cried out loud, “No! I will not terminate the pregnancy! You are lying to me! I won’t abort my baby!”
All of this information was relayed to me by Denise. I didn’t know how Caitlyn convinced Leland, but he allowed her to keep the baby. They stayed in the hospital for less than a week before being discharged and returning home-to my home, which was the Perez’s villa.
I couldn’t remain calm. Was Leland giving up his facade?
Was he no longer trying to maintain his good image as my “perfect husband” and instead bringing his mistress to our home?
Feeling frustrated, I decided to have Denise take me home from the hospital. With only a week left, my new ID would soon be mailed to me. I decided to see what Leland was up to.
Upon arriving home, Leland was sitting on the sofa, his face pale because he had lost a lot of blood.
He glanced at me coldly and then smirked.
“You don’t deserve to have my child!” He stood up and forcefully crushed the cigarette butt in the ashtray.”Go prepare food for me! I’ve fired the chef. From now on, you will handle the household chores!”
I was completely bewildered. Was this still the same Leland?
What was he doing?
Had he stopped pretending entirely?
*And the Leslie Group is my company. If you want it, you can try to take it back from me. If you’re not ready to do that, just stay home and do whatever I ask you to do!”
With that, he stood up coldly, looking back at me with disdain, his contemptuous gaze fixing on me as if I were nothing more than a piece of trash.
I heard his commanding tone again, “I love Caitlyn, and she will be moving in soon. From now on, you move to the basement.”
After saying this, he walked into his bedroom with a cold expression. Once the door closed, I broke down in tears.
