Chapter 127 Ready for Whatever Came Her Way
Aella had once been radiant, full of light and life.
For Tyrone, she had molded herself into the wife he wanted.

She had hidden her temper, softened her edges, and poured every ounce of herself into being the gentle, perfect partner for a man who never let anyone touch the heart he kept locked away.
And in the end, she was broken–shattered beyond repair, trapped in a corner with nowhere to go.
She had learned her lesson.
She would never love like that again.
When Sayer heard Aella had been an amateur racer, his eyes lit up. “I want to join a racing club. Can you recommend one?”
Aella answered casually, “Sure.” Then she pressed the accelerator, and the car shot forward like an arrow loosed from a bow.
Not long after Aella and Sayer drove off, Zera emerged from behind a pillar near the restaurant
entrance.
She spotted Tyrone’s car pulling up and hurried toward it, half–running.
The window rolled down slowly, and Tyrone’s cold, even voice came through. “Where’s Mrs. Winter?”
Zera leaned in, lowering her voice. “She just left with another man. I’ve got a few photos I want to send you. Can I get in first?”
Tyrone gave a curt nod, and she climbed in.
She rushed to explain, “I’m sorry, Tyrone. You were already misunderstood by the press earlier when you went out to buy Orson a toy. If it hadn’t been urgent, I wouldn’t have called you to meet up.”
As she spoke, Zera sent Tyrone the photos she’d secretly taken of Aella and Sayer together, followed by screenshots of Aella’s messages urging her to bring the child to the press conference and reveal his parentage.
Tyrone scrolled through them in silence, his expression unreadable. His fingers tightened unconsciously around his phone..

He asked flatly, “What exactly are you trying to prove with these?”
Zera widened her eyes in fake shock.

“Mrs. Winter tried to get me to expose your relationship with Orson at the press event. Of course, I refused! I’d never do that to you.”
She continued breathlessly, “She even told me that since you two can’t divorce, she might as well do whatever she wants, and you can do the same. I thought she was just angry.”
Zera studied his expression, then pressed on boldly.
“But I never expected to actually see her kissing that man tonight in the elevator.”
Her voice softened, sympathetic. “Tyrone, you’ve been so patient and loving. She doesn’t deserve you.”
Tyrone’s face darkened. His tone was firm and absolute.
“You must have seen it wrong. Aella loves me. Even when she’s angry, she wouldn’t do something that reckless.”
It was almost 3:30 a.m. when Aella finally got home.
Exhausted, she opened the door, only to see Tyrone standing by the entryway, dressed in dark sleepwear, his face expressionless.
The sight startled her, instantly shaking off her drowsiness.
She bent to pick up the plush toy she’d dropped and stepped inside quietly.
Tyrone caught her by the arm, his eyes falling to the colorful bundle of stuffed animals in her hands.
His tone was sharp. “Why are you back so late?”
Aella looked at him briefly, said nothing, then freed her arm and walked toward the living
room.
Tyrone’s expression darkened further.
In the living room, his voice grew heavier. “Aella, I’m talking to you.”
When she still didn’t answer, he grabbed her wrist again–too hard this time.

Aella glanced at the mess, calm but with an edge. “You stayed up all night just to ask me that?”
Tyrone repeated coldly, “Why did you come home so late?”
