“What do you think?” she replied.

“Revenge?”

Scarlett just smiled silently.

The boss closed his eyes. “With just you, I’m afraid you won’t even make it out of Red Mark Base’s door!”

“Do you think I plan on leaving through that door?” Scarlett shot back.

The boss was momentarily stunned, looking at her in surprise. “You-”

Scarlett said no more, a cold smile playing on her lips as she picked up the photo and stood to leave.

“Even so, you might not succeed!” the boss called after her.

“Thanks for the warning. I’ll do my best!” Scarlett replied, walking away without turning back.

Watching her retreating figure, the boss’s gaze was unreadable.
