Talia gave a small, almost bashful wave. “Hi.”

Ace stared at her with a mix of respect and disbelief. “So all those times we tried to contact you for a job… you knew it was us?”

“Yup.” She said with a pop of the ‘p‘

“Then why turn us down?” He pressed.

“I didn’t turn all of them down. Took a job from you once,” Talia replied with a shrug. “I don’t just accept any job. I choose.”

Ace tilted his head, studying her. “I always thought you were a man.”

“Of course you did,” she deadpanned, before turning back to her screen. “Now, let’s get back to the reason we’re here before someone notices I’m inside their system.”

Her fingers flew over the keyboard, and the feed sharpened.

Talia’s lips curved into a small, knowing smile as she murmured, “Now… let’s see what really happened, shall we?”

She didn’t wait for a reply. With a flick of her wrist, the footage began to play.

The room fell silent, the screen flickering as the first frame loaded-

The four of them, Lucian, Alina, Ace, and Talia, watched as Jessica appeared on the screen.

The woman strolled into the suite’s sitting area with casual familiarity, plucked a document from the coffee table, and turned as if to leave.

A sharp ping sounded from somewhere in the room.

Alina’s brows rose. “So the surveillance has audio?”

“Mm–hmm.“Talia replied, a touch of pride in her tone.

Alina gave a small nod, eyes still fixed on the screen. “Impressive.”

The footage shifted. Jessica pushed open the bedroom door and stepped inside. Lucian was sprawled on the bed, dead asleep, a single white sheet draped loosely over his hips.

Lucian immediately shot a look at Alina. “I had boxers underneath.” He said firmly, his jaw tightening.

Alina only spared him a brief glance before returning her gaze to the screen.

On the screen, Jessica simply stood there for several seconds, staring down at him with an unsettling, almost predatory stillness. Then she stooped, scooping up his discarded clothes from the floor… and brought them to her face, inhaling deeply.

“The fuck!” Lucian barked, his face contorting in shock.

“Seriously?” Alina muttered, disgust evident in her voice. “What kind of creep do you employ in your company?”

Lucian turned sharply toward Ace. “I want a full, thorough background check on Jessica and every single staff member we have.”

Ace stiffened. “We already ran a background check on her. It came back clean.”

Talia hit pause on the footage, scoffing loudly. “Clean?” She leaned back in her seat, her eyes glinting with amusement. “Jessica’s about as clean as a homeless man’s socks.”

Reaching to the coffee table, she picked up a small flash drive and tossed it toward Ace. He caught it mid–air.

“That,” Talia said, tilting her chin toward it, “has every dirty little skeleton in her closet. And trust me, you’re going to be shocked. Jessica’s batshit crazy, someone who should’ve been locked up in a mental asylum years ago.”

Lucian’s gaze darkened. “Fire whoever ran her background check. They clearly don’t know their job.”

Talia shook her head. “It’s not their fault. She did a damn good job scrubbing her record clean. It took me a while to dig this up too.”

Then she turned to Ace and gave him a smug wink. “You’re welcome.”

If Ace had thought she was attractive before, that single wink sealed it, now she wasn’t just beautiful, she was dangerously magnetic. And he knew, without a doubt, he needed to make her his.

The footage resumed.

Jessica began to undress. Talia, quick on the controls, blurred the image,enough to obscure the indecency, but still revealing enough of her movements to leave no doubt about her intentions.

After stripping down, Jessica slipped into Lucian’s shirt, the hem brushing her bare thighs. She pulled out her phone and began snapping pictures of herself, of Lucian, framing it all like a sick, twisted trophy.

Lucian’s phone rang from the nightstand. Jessica picked it up, smirking before answering.

Alina’s lips pressed into a thin line, she knew exactly what was being said, she remembered that conversation as vividly as if it had happened yesterday,
