A slow smile spread across Talia’s lips, pride shimmering in her gaze. “That’s what I’m talking about,” she said firmly, her tone filled with fire. She squeezed Alina’s hand once. “Let’s do this.”
The car door opened, and the moment Alina stepped out, a barrage of camera flashes nearly blinded her. Voices rose at once, overlapping in a frenzy.
“Alina, over here!”
“Smile for us, Alina!”
“Is it true you and your fiancé have broken off the engagement?”
The sharp question sliced through the chaos, but before Alina could react, she felt Talia’s hand tighten firmly around hers. With her head held high, Talia leaned slightly closer, her voice low but resolute. “Ignore them. Just keep walking.”
Together they strode forward, the popping of cameras following them as they moved toward the red carpet. The velvet ropes guided them into the heart of the spectacle where guests paused for photographs before entering.
Alina’s posture was graceful, her expression poised. She turned slightly when called upon, giving the photographers just enough without faltering. Soon, she found herself before a few selected news outlets. Microphones were extended toward her, the reporters eager.
“Alina, what can we expect from tonight’s launch show?” One asked, his tone polished but hungry.
Her lips curved into a calm, collected smile. “I think you’ll find tonight full of surprises.” She replied smoothly, her voice steady despite the storm of attention around her.
As more questions followed, the crowd suddenly stirred, the energy shifting. A ripple of commotion spread across the entrance. Flashes intensified, voices rising higher in excitement.
Alina turned her head toward the noise, her eyes narrowing slightly as she caught sight of the cause.
Lucian.
He had arrived, commanding presence unmistakable, but it was the figure clinging to his arm that drew sharper whispers.
Jessica, dressed to impress, her face practically glowing with smug satisfaction, as if she had already won something.
The photographers surged closer, desperate for shots of the pair. Jessica leaned into Lucian, her smile fixed and gleaming as if to announce to the world she belonged at his side.

But Alina’s lips only curved into the faintest, knowing smile. There was no sting of jealousy, no crack in her composure. She had seen this coming. She, Lucian and Talia had planned every detail for tonight, and by the time the night was over, Jessica’s smugness would crumble into dust.
She adjusted her posture, turning slightly back to the cameras with serene elegance, her eyes glinting with quiet resolve.
Jessica had no idea what awaited her.
Alina kept her poise, her voice smooth and confident as the cameras flashed.
“Alina! What will the launch circle around? Your last launch was about rebirth, what is this one about?” One reporter called out.
She offered a graceful smile, her tone calm yet teasing. “It’s a seasonal line launch,” she said, careful not to reveal too much. “Every piece has its own story… something fresh, something bold. But-” her lips curved faintly, “you’ll just have to wait to see the rest on the runway. I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise.”
The crowd leaned in at her words, the flashes popping faster, eager for more. Alina simply held her smile, giving them only enough to build anticipation.
Then, out of the corner of her eye, she caught the shift in the crowd again, Lucian and Jessica stepping onto the red carpet.
Camera shutters snapped in a frenzy, the energy instantly spiking as the two made their way to pose for pictures. Jessica clung to his arm as though it were a trophy, her smug smile sharp under the harsh lights.
But then came a sudden call from the press.
“Lucian! Alina! Can we get a shot of you both together?”
“Just one picture of the two of you, please!”
The requests rang out, growing louder, more insistent. Neither Alina nor Lucian hesitated.
Rumors were already spreading, but with no confirmation from either of them, there was no reason to refuse. Together, they stepped forward, drawing an even greater frenzy of camera flashes.
Lucian’s hand slid smoothly around Alina’s waist, and though the gesture seemed natural to everyone watching, his fingers pressed with a subtle squeeze, firm, possessive, and unmistakable.
No one else noticed, but Alina did. A rush of warmth curled low in her chest, steadying her composure as she faced the cameras.
“Closer! That’s it, perfect!” One paparazzo called out.
“Turn slightly, yes, beautiful!” Another instructed.
Alina held her chin high, her posture regal. She didn’t look at Lucian, but the moment his voice brushed against her ear, deep and low enough only for her, her breath caught faintly.
