The people who witnessed this scene were all left speechless. Even Old Mr. Stone, who had initially intended to assert his authority over Ariana, was dumbfounded. However, Hugh, grinning ear to ear, easily accepted the tea without complaint.

Second Aunt Aster Brown chuckled lightly and said to Ariana, "Ariana, now that you are married into the Stone family, traditionally, the bride should wake up early to serve tea. So, why did you sleep in so late today?"

"That's right! Third sister-in-law, in my opinion, this is your mistake."

Aunt Khloe seemed to have suddenly found a way to vent out, she turned to Jolene, whose face was filled with displeasure, and continued, "Theoretically, Ariana is your daughter-in-law. Upon hearing this, Ariana chuckled, drawing back everyone's attention.

"Mother, please have some tea."

Ariana retrieved the teacup from the servant and respectfully handed it to Jolene.

Jolene, unwilling to spare them any more attention, looked somewhat relieved while accepting the tea from Ariana.

After receiving the tea, she said, "They say that wealthy families have many customs. Although the White family is well-off, it is a relatively small household. Ariana, it seems like you have seen quite a lot today."

Caught off guard with her remarks, Aster and Khloe were instantly lost for words. Seeing the two taken aback brought some satisfaction to Jolene. She glanced at Ariana, and her satisfaction with this daughter-in-law grew more.

Upon hearing Khloe's words, his gaze flickered and he subconsciously looked at Ariana. He smiled faintly then turned to explain. But before he could speak, Ariana grabbed his hand.

She used all of her strength, causing his hand to hurt. It seemed like a silent warning, telling him not to speak absurdly. However, to others, this looked nothing less than a display of intimacy between the couple.

Ariana stopped Lambert from talking nonsense and calmly addressed Khloe, "Auntie, you're looking too much into it. It's merely some playful banter between a couple, not a big deal. I never thought you'd bring it up."

As she spoke, she even managed an embarrassed smile.

Khloe stared at her, stunned, "What? Ariana! Aren't you being too arrogant?"

The Stone family's residence had always been under the management of the Old Mr. Stone, and no one dared to speak out against it. Yet, surprisingly, Ariana dared to do so.

Aster exclaimed, "Dad, this girl doesn't respect you at all. Who's ever heard of a new bride stepping out of line the moment she enters the door, dictating the elders in the family? Will she even start meddling with the company in the future?"

Even Hugh felt that Ariana was getting ahead of herself. Just as he was about to defend her, Ariana smirked, "You two aunties are overthinking things. Ariana is merely offering a few suggestions as a family member."

She gestured to the lunch on the dining table, "For instance, all of these dishes, although they suit each one's taste, the mix of dishes when combined, can be detrimental to health. Some ingredients even negate each other."

Old Mr. Stone's face darkened. He picked up the proposal. His eyes widened slightly when he looked at it.

The proposal was mostly her views on the mansion — given its largely wooden structure, the safety hazards were numerous.

He felt that Ariana had put a lot of thought into this. She had truly conducted a thorough investigation of the situation in the house and made some serious suggestions.

Originally, he thought Ariana was arrogant, but now he realized he had misunderstood her.

Seeing her justified explanation, Khloe could not help but retort, "We have always eaten like this, you're just nitpicking! Are you implying that you know better than the nationally renowned chef hired by the Stone family?"

Ariana smirked, "Of course, the chef knows, but the head of the house does not."
