Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 143

She discovered that Lambert's body was just as hot as hers.

Ariana paused slightly when Lambert grabbed her hand.

Upon hearing her calling out his name, he turned around and asked teasingly, "What do you need from me?"

She didn't utter a word, but merely snuggled silently into his embrace, seeming somewhat impatient.

Lambert's eyes flashed with surprise. Believing she had made up her mind, he released her hand, rolling over to press down on her.

His hot breath brushed lightly against her face. Perhaps due to the bowl of medicine, his handsome face also took on an attractive powder-pink hue.

Out of instinct, Ariana turned her head away and closed her eyes.

Just when he was about to lean down to kiss her, he noticed her reaction and his scorching eyes gradually cooled down.

Lambert then realized that Ariana was trying to use him again.

She is unwilling to continue this charade any further, but is also unable to accept this change, so did she choose to force herself to take this step under the influence of medicine?

Lambert released her, stood up, and said, "This is just ordinary medicine, it won't bother you too much. If you don't want this, just bear it."

After speaking, Lambert intended to leave the bed and take a cold shower but suddenly felt his hand being pulled.

With clenched teeth, Ariana looked at him, her cheeks flushing, "I'm willing to do this, is it okay?"

Even though she indeed harbored ulterior motives, she was committed to taking this step and didn't want to turn back.

Being her first time doing such a thing, she was already pushing her limit by deliberately seducing him. Surely she couldn't be expected to be too explicit, could she?

After all, she still upheld the sense of modesty inherent in being a woman.

Lambert paused slightly, his gaze dimming, and said in his deep, husky voice, "There's no room for regret in such matters."

Ariana was taken aback and immediately let go of his hand. Feeling her release her grip, Lambert's heart sank. He was about to leave when he heard a muffled voice from behind.

"If you don't want to help, forget it! I'll find someone else."

Just as she finished speaking rashly, she felt Lambert's tall figure bearing down on her again, hearing him say through gritted teeth, "You won't get the chance."

"Hmm..."

Just as Ariana was about to speak, she was silenced.

Lambert came to understand that making Ariana back down was simply impossible.

She nervously clutched at Lambert's clothing. Memories from her past life brushed past her mind, fleeting like a galloping steed.

Regardless, this life was thoroughly and utterly different.

At first, Ariana tried to respond to Lambert. However, she had severely underestimated the aftermath of dealing with such a matter.

Or rather, she had overestimated her ability to cope.

Lambert was simply an expert in these matters. He persisted with her until the break of dawn. He let her go only when the sunlight was visible through the window.

When Lambert woke up in the morning and reached for the spot next to him, he found that Ariana was not there. His eyes snapped open, enshrouded in a layer of cold mist.

At this time, he heard curses coming from the bathroom.

Ariana was standing in front of the mirror, wrapped in a bedsheet, with a distressed expression as she examined the marks on her neck. "Madman!" she muttered.

She had clearly told him not to leave any marks, yet he disregarded her wishes and left so many. She was worried about how she would face people at work.

Even though the weather was getting colder, she didn't have many high-necked clothes.

She was complaining when she suddenly saw Lambert, clothed in a robe, walking in from the mirror. He came up from behind and wrapped his arms around her waist.

To which Lambert agreed, "Indeed!"

"How hard could it be!"

Knowing Old Mrs. Stone's and Jolene's recent plan, Aster couldn't help but make a sour remark.

Chuckling, Old Mrs. Stone said, "Why don't you also try to have a hard time for a while?"

"Mother!"

Hearing Old Mrs. Stone's implications, she retorted, sounding both angry and wronged, "Even if I wanted to, there's nothing I can do about it!"

Everyone couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Though Ariana wanted to go to work, looking at the mark on her neck, she didn't dare to step out at all.

After spending half the day applying concealer to hide the marks, she finally managed to cover them up. By the time she went downstairs, Lambert had already gone to work.

Unexpectedly, she saw her mother-in-law and her own mother sitting downstairs, engaging in a lively tea-time chat. She instinctively felt that this interaction didn’t bode well.

"Mom?"

Ariana looked at Georgia with surprise. "How come you're here?"

Seeing Ariana come downstairs, Georgia happily said, "You're awake. Your mother-in-law invited me over to discuss some matters concerning you."

She was slightly taken aback and had an ominous premonition. "About me?"

Georgia and Jolene looked at each other and smiled. "You have a cold constitution. Your mother-in-law's previous primary physician was particularly skilled, so she wants to take you to see him. I think it doesn't hurt to have a check-up, so why don't you take the day off and come with us?"

"Do we really have to?" Ariana immediately expressed her reluctance.

Lambert had tormented her all night until the early hours of the morning. Now that she had just woken up, she had to suffer again by going to the hospital.
