Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 177

Ariana had always refrained from speaking such things. However, hearing them today made him feel like he was just being tricked again.

When Ariana spoke so freely, Lambert's reaction was quite ordinary, which led her to raise her eyebrows slightly.

She looked out the window and noticed that Lambert was actually driving home, causing her to express surprise, "What are you doing?"

Lambert, noticing her misunderstanding from the corner of his eye, glanced at her, "What do you think I want to do?"

"..."

Ariana couldn't help but frown. Was this man always going to resort to these antics whenever he was angry?

He smirked and said: "My parents wish for you to come home for dinner earlier, I'm just here to pick you up!"

"..."

Realizing her mistake, Ariana blushed slightly.

Upon arriving at their house, they could hear laughter coming from inside.

Ariana paused, wondering about the source of the happiness, but noticed a slight change in Lambert's expression.

She asked, "What's wrong?"

Lambert replied in a deep voice, "Let's go in."

Saying this, he took her hand and led her inside.

Ariana followed his pace, remembering Lambert's earlier discontent. She had a feeling it might be connected to whatever was going on inside the house.

As soon as Ariana entered the room, she saw a man with facial features somewhat resembling Aster's. By his side, the Old Mr. Stone and Old Mrs. Stone were both beaming from ear to ear.

Even Aster, who had just been punished yesterday, couldn't help but revel in joy as if yesterday's affair didn’t happen at all.

However, the laughter abruptly ceased the moment Lambert and Ariana stepped in.

Perhaps still traumatized from yesterday's events, Aster seemed somewhat apprehensive towards Ariana and Lambert.

Watching the drama unfold, Ariana slightly raised her eyebrows, deducing that this man must be Finley, whom her second aunt Aster had schemed tirelessly to bring home.

Feeling Ariana's gaze on him, Finley also looked at her.

Sensing the slightly off ambiance, Old Mrs. Stone hastily said to Ariana, "Ari, this is Lambert's second cousin, you should greet him."

After a slight pause, Ariana glanced at Lambert by her side and then called out to Finley, "Second Cousin, Hello."

Finley nodded slightly and apologetically said, "Your wedding happened so suddenly last time that I couldn't make it home from abroad. That’s why I’ve brought a wedding gift for you this time.”

A servant, gesturing at Finley’s signal, presented the gift to Ariana and Lambert.

As she accepted the gift without opening it, Ariana said, "Thank you."

Feeling the somewhat indifferent reactions of Ariana and Lambert, Old Mr. Stone cleared his throat and said, “Even though I’m aware that certain events have happened at home recently, I asked Finely to come home, hoping to restore harmony and start anew.”

Lambert smirked, "Grandfather, there's no need for many explanations. We understand."

Upon hearing this, Old Mr. Stone’s face slightly fell. He glanced at the time and said, "It's late, let’s have dinner."

After they returned to the bedroom, Ariana suddenly felt herself being embraced from behind by Lambert. She paused slightly, looking sideways at Lambert.

"What's wrong?"

Lambert's lips curved slightly, indicating he was in a very good mood now.

"Where are you planning to go?"

After all, Ariana would not have mentioned this out of the blue if she didn't have a plan in mind.

Ariana knew that she had cheered up Lambert, so she smiled lightly and said, "You'll know later."

She had booked a Western restaurant for a candlelight dinner with Lambert, and he was somewhat surprised by what Ariana had done.

He looked at Ariana, who was elegantly holding a glass of red wine in her stunning red dress, looking in good spirits. He smirked and said, "It's rare that you would make such an effort."

After all, in the past, Ariana was never this proactive unless for work. Whenever it came to matters concerning them both, she was always laid-back.

Setting down her glass, Ariana's crimson lips curved slightly upwards, "I'm celebrating."

"Oh?" Lambert raised his eyebrows in intrigue.

She glanced at Lambert, and said with significant meaning, "You don't care about grandfather's attitude, but you seem a bit upset since Finley came back."

Lambert was surprised by Ariana's thorough observations, but before he could say anything, Ariana continued, "Actually, it's good that Finley is back. At least now we have a rival, otherwise life would be too boring."

Although he understood Ariana was comforting him, Lambert cautioned, "Remember, be careful around Finley."
